I think I'm getting laid off on the solar eclipse

For context: I'm on vacation right now. yesterday I woke up and saw that most of my coworkers had a group meeting with a person I've never heard of before. Shortly after the chat exploded with messages of "it was great working with you all" and now I have a one on one meeting with that same unknown person on monday at 1:15 pm. So yeah I'm pretty sure I'm a goner

actually. I think it will be kinda fun to have such a long hiatus. just think of the bonds that will be forged in these trenches. the drama free discussions. the in-depth dissections of every snippet. it's about the journey not the destination and as long as the books get published in the end I personally don't really care when they do.

saying that an adult does not have control over their own actions is crazy. being a victim does not absolve you of the abuse and pain you made others endure.

Alicent chose to publicly humiliate Rhaenyra and her children for years. Alicent chose to verbally and physically abuse Aegon. Alicent chose to fill her son's heads with hatred. Alicent chose to marry off Heleana and make her have children at a young age the same way she was. Alicent chose to constantly question Rhaenyra's claim. Alicent chose to keep doing her father's bidding. Alicent chose to hide her rapist son's actions. Alicent chose to scorn every olive branch Rhaenyra offered.

part of Alicent's tragedy in the show and in the books is that her own decisions actively lead to not only her demise but also the demise of her children and grandchildren and her bloodline. Saying that "adult alicent didn't have a choice" is actually denying an integral part of the plot and her character development. She isn't a passenger, she's an active participant.

I wish the show had made Alicent the power hungry cunt she was in the books, no woe is me bullshit, cause now we have bitches who went to the social media school of psychology lingo saying crazy shit like this. Season 2 hasn't even premiered yet, I'm scared of the discourse I'll see when it does.
