In case some of you didn’t know, I’m rewatching all of the shows and livetweeting them! I hadn’t watched some of these shows in like 5 years so it’s turning out to be an interesting experience! Because I’m more active on twitter, I’m just gonna leave a couple of links here:

Starship thread - some highlights: EEP AAP ORK AH AH!, “I pee pee like a big boy, dead god dammit!”, tootsie noodles being the most precious creature in existence and the “G.L.E.E.” joke which was perfect.

S.P.A.C.E. tour thread - some highlights: shirtless Joey Richter, Liam’s got a phonecall, not being able to poop on the tour buses.

HMB thread - some highlights: Joe Walker and Brian Holden in tight spandex, Chris Allen as the butler(s), Jeff Blim’s debut with the Starkids as Sweet Tooth, 

Apocalyptour thread - some highlights: Jim Povolo in a skirt, Joe Walker’s short shorts, Meredith belting out the coolest girl, Rick Richter and the baritone notes in Fancy Machine

Twisted thread - some highlights: Robert Manion’s debut with the Starkids, what a showstealer. “Why is everyone in the kingdom white”. Dylan showing every kind of possible emotion, Nick Gage being the funniest.

I will keep this updated and edit with future twitter threads so I don’t lose them and you can also enjoy my ramblings, I guess?

My current employer once said to me, “I get the impression you work to live, not live to work.” Uh, yeah motherfucker.

me after reading this:

A boss once sat me down and said, I swear to fuck, that it was a bad thing that I was interested in leaving work on time. Like he said something like “I’m told that you like going home at the end of the day.”

I asked him what I meant. Like I point blank said “Are you saying I don’t work enough overtime?”

“…no,” he said, since we got in trouble if we worked OT. It was treated as a moral failing on our parts.

“So are you saying I should be working for free?” I asked. This is a trap question. It was a corporate job. Which meant he actually was limited in the shit he could pull.

“….no,” he grudgingly replied.

“So what is the problem?” I asked. And he had to admit that, technically, I had done nothing wrong.

But he tried to guilt me over LIKING TO GO HOME AT THE END OF THE DAY. After each 8-10 hour shift where I was allowed ZERO breaks, despite the law requiring I get a minimum of 15 minutes every 4 hours.

He also got pissed off that I was very open with telling people I had given my notice. I didn’t bad mouth the place. I wasn’t negative. I was just open that, yes, I was moving and had therefor quit.

GEE I FUCKING WONDER WHY I WAS SO EXCITED TO BE LEAVING.

Anyone who’s foolish enough to tell me that working is a privilege I should “live” for ought to be drawn and quartered.

I’m dead serious; people are dropping dead like flies because of overwork. 

This is why we NEED labor laws, people. 

Once had a boss confide in me (because at that time I was his second hand) that a new hire was bothering him. Why’s that, I asked? Because she gets excited about the lunch break.

I told him everyone gets excited about lunch we just aren’t all as vocal about it. He didn’t know what to say.

I get that some people have a theory that work is their life (which I won’t discount) but it’s unfair to expect that of other people; that’s a personal choice. Or it’s luck, if you have the privilege of being able to make your passion your career. But work is a means to an end for many many many people and that’s ok

Rule one of fandom: there are some things that only exist for us.

Don’t send actors fics

Don’t give them explicit art ever

Don’t tag them in rpf questions or theories

Don’t try to bring them into fandom drama of any kind

Don’t hold them responsible for what the producers and writers decide

They’re still people.  They have private lives, which do not include fandom.

louder for the people in the back!

Louder for the media!

Don’t trick crew members into retweeting your crack.

Don’t tell the show runners how to run the show.

Don’t show up on set and threaten suicide if you don’t get to meet your fave. (Yes this has happened).

Don’t harass actors. THEY ARE NOT THEIR CHARACTERS.

Don’t fish for spoilers at cons.

i’m not even gonna pretend this isn’t a call out to all y’all out there making poor robert feel uncomfortable bc seriously going nuts over hidgens (and creating wild fan art/fan theories/fanfics etc) about him is fine bc he’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Saying how crazy you are about robert’s talent, humility and even (in a moderate, complimentary and appropriate way) looks, is ok too. HARASSING ROBERT DURING LIVE-STREAMS AND OVER TWITTER TO DANCE AND SING FOR YOU WHEN HES ALREADY EXPRESSED DISCOMFORT IS NOT. OK. OPENLY AND NASTILY LUSTING AFTER HIM IN FORUMS THAT HE CAN EASILY SEE (and sometimes even TAGGING HIM IN THOSE FORUMS) IS NOT. OK.

Shoutout to the writers at every single theatre news site for making A Very Potter Musical puns off of Darren Criss’ Golden Globe win.
