How did you eat/exercise when recovering from being underweight? And how did you deal with the weight gain? I know I need to gain weight to be healthy but I'm scared of feeling and looking fat! Thanks in advance, I just want to be healthy and happy and not worry about calories/food/exercise All the time

Hey girl!

I realised that my health and wellbeing is more important than looking super thin and being a low number on the scale. I researched more about the health risks of being underweight short and long term.

I started following people on social media that were weightlifting and eating more food and didn’t care about the number on the scales and my mind slowly changed as well.

I don’t feel like i had a super hard time adjusting because i educated myself on the amount i should be eating daily, how important it is to EAT enough to keep your body functioning at high levels, i was missing my period for almost a year which is a big sign that something is not right!

I’d say educate yourself! Put your body’s health first! nourish your body and take good care of yourself, you are BEAUTIFUL at any shape or size, confidence is a hard thing to build on and takes some time

There are SO many resources on the internet you should take a look at about confidence, recovery, food ideas and more.

I hope that helps :( if you have any other questions or don’t think i answered adequately please message me!! xxxxx

I'm trying to gain weight and I know u have to eat a lot of food bc I'm lifting weights as well so you're supposed to eat HEAPS but I just can't eat a lot bc I get full easily and sometimes I just don't feel like eating some days like when I'm sick and stuff. How can I increase my appetite? Xx

Hellooooo!!!!

To help increase your calorie intake without eating heaps of food, try finding some calorie dense foods to eat! Like peanut butter, nuts, seeds, avocado, and more! try snacking often, drinking smoothies with your meals to up the calories.

When you are sick and don’t have an appetite just listen to your body

Slowly increase your food intake and your appetite should follow!

Hi! I recently saw from your post that you've gone vegan! Can you share when you made the change and what motivated you to?

Helloooo!

I have probably been vegan now for 5-6 weeks?

Before being vegan i didn’t eat much dairy or red meat, i loved eating vegan food anyway and i have many vegan friends.

I started doing my own research, reading, watching videos, looking up research and more. I discovered how amazing eating vegan foods is for your internal health and well being. I also learnt a few things at uni about animal products too. I discovered more about the impact eating animal products has on the environment and really accepted just how cruel the industry is in regards to animal welfare.

It was very easy for me to make the switch, the only things i was eating that weren’t vegan was: chicken, tuna, eggs, chocolate and some other sweet treats and occasionally ice cream.

I already knew i enjoyed eating the vegan alternatives to those things so it was super easy for me! When i first started eating vegan i wasn’t sure if i’d be 100% vegan but i felt amazing!!!

Before going vegan, even though i was eating plenty, i felt deprived, i turned to bad foods and had some binges, i would then feel disgusting after eating so much, i’d always feel like i need a cheat meal or some treats.

BUT NOW i feel so satisfied, energised, healthy and happy, my energy levels are great, i love the food i am eating, i have de bloated a little and dropped a small amount of weight, i don’t have any cravings and i am loving it!

So that is why i decided to commit 100% to being vegan! It makes me feel great, look great, i am doing great for the animals and the environment! so that is why i have gone vegan!!

I hope that all made sense hahaha

Hey girl! So I've been on my weight loss journey for about 5 months now and I'm feeling so much better as I'm not feeding my body trash constantly and actually exercising! The only thing is I've lost around 6 kilos but when I look at myself I don't feel like I've lost anything and that I'm just looking the exact same. It's just frustrating because it's been so hard cutting out all the yummy foods that I love to see no difference, do you know why I might not being seeing results?

Hey lovely!!What do you mean you aren’t seeing results?

You’ve lost weight

You’re working out

You’re eating healthy

You feel so much better because of this

THAT IS RESULTS!! This journey is a long process but SUPER worth it!!

Make sure you are eating enough good foods, changing up  your workouts, sleeping well, drinking plenty of water and stay positive!

I’m sure if you took a before photo and compared it to now you’d see a little bit of a difference! keep at it girl! if you are FEELING better then that is amazing!!! You are doing something right ! Don’t lose hope xx

Huge plate of YUM for lunch today 😍😍 sweet potato fries, tofu scramble, brocollini and hummus! For the tofu scramble I had a block of soft-ish tofu so I mashed it up and added it in a pan with coconut aminos and nutritional yeast, Cooked that for a couple minutes then added in a heap of mushrooms and spinach and cooked all together! Served up half for lunch today and placed half In a container to go towards tomorrow's lunch 😍😍 I've had a busy weekend of some social and uni stuff but have spent most of today laying on my bed attempting to get uni stuff done but am still feeling sick so haven't been super productive. I also made some banana bread but undercooked it 😩 still tasted delicious so am still going to eat it! I'll make it again soon properly and post a recipe! Hope you've all had a great weekend!! ❤️❤️❤️ INSTA: @FIT_HEALTHY_YOU

YUM okay so I made these little patty things today (whatever you wanna call them) and they tasted amazing but I didnt cook them for long enough 😂😩 the inside was still goo-ey which didn't end up actually tasting gross it was just a strange texture. I paired them with some hummus and damn they were good! Pretty simple too! I was supposed to use chickpeas and I took out a can and undid the lid and as I was straining them I realised they were cannellini beans 😂 so I used them instead and it still works! Here's the the recipe if you want to give them a go yourself ! Ingredients: -400g cooked sweet potato -1 can cannellini beans -90g diced raw onion -2 cloves garlic -1 cup cooked brown rice -2tbsp nutritional yeast -small handful of fresh basil -1tbsp extra virgin olive oil -1/2 cup oats Literally just place all the above ingredients in a food processor and blend until combined! Spoon out desired size onto a baking tray and place in the oven (160 degrees fan forced) for 30 minutes. I did mine for 25 minutes but they weren't cooked fully. So could maybe up the heat or just cook for longer! Keep checking on them to suss it out! The flavour is great but next time I'll get the timing right 😂😂 enjoy if you make these!!!
