Clears off dust to post
Don't have a picture yet, but I do now have a stray kitty named Loki.
He (I'm assuming they're a he? they didn't get pregnant yet anyway) appeared last summer around the same time my latest adopted kitty, Larry (I didn't get to name him, my mom did after the cat on Modern Family) appeared. However, Larry is a bit more outgoing and was quickly won over with Fancy Feast, becoming tame and allowing human contact rather quickly. Loki, then known as 'Little Black Kitty,' kept his distance and had the disadvantage of having Larry fight with him before he got fixed. But still, he stuck around, taking advantage of dishes of cat food and water outside.
Later, before it got too cold, I ordered an extra pet house for Loki. Lined it with insulation, bed and self warming mat and stuck it in the barn in hopes that Loki would use it. And I bought him his own dish and got him in the habit of waiting by a bush for me to bring him his Fancy Feast and dry food in the morning. He runs away when I approach, but will meow for the food when he sees me, so we're at least in a better place than last year and he knows he has a home and people to take care of him.

it's so weird how loki was one of the most important characters in the mcu as a whole but not in the show that was literally named for him.
#like#if loki never disrupts thor's coronation in thor 1 #a whooooole bunch of other stuff that drives the mcu forward never happens #most notably the formation of the avengers #despite officially being a 'side character' #it's difficult to think of a character who's had a greater direct impact on the MCU #meanwhile in the tv series where he was advertised as the main character#he has almost no impact whatsoever#he does nothing #he exercises no agency#he argues in favour of the status quo #something which is anathema to the very concept of the character #and it's just... weird #funny and sad and bizarre
