“oh?” so she would fight, that would be useful for future– the near future. DIO’s mind raced as where to dispose of the body. to burn it would bring up a vile smell, to leave it wasn’t even an option. he could get terence to slice up the remains of the body which he did not enjoy and throw into the Nile for the animals to feast upon; or bury it in the nearest deserted area. pushing the thoughts aside, he continued the conversation with ease. “and what style of fighting did you practice in?

“ Mine is rather unique, “

Why would she directly tell him? If he was planning to do something sinister, then she knew giving away her abilities straight away  would be utterly foolish.

“ Let me just say this much, the more blood that is spilled, the more of an advantage I have. “

Alone, the way she fought was dangerous to herself. She would be draining her own very much necessary fluid, blood. She had to end it quick, or risk being too weak to do much of anything. However, if the others blood leaves their body, it surrenders itself to her manipulation.

“I just wanted to come by and look at you. That’s all. Sorry for sounding creepy. Do you need anyone to help out around here? I’m good at helping out at places, and you don’t need to pay me that much.”

“ A helper would be nice for a  change, though I don’t have much to spare...I just need someone to organize some papers. They’re absolutely everywhere. “

he ducked into the car, shutting the door and signalling the driver to take them back to the manor. idle conversation would hold for now, but when it came to later in the night— well, to say the least, that would be when the fun began. “matilda? that’s a very lovely name, does it not mean mighty in battle? that sparks my curiosity… are you a fighter, matilda dear?”

F i g h t e r rang in her head for a moment. Oh, a fighter indeed. The way she fought, it wasn’t something practiced around here. At  least, she didn’t think so. She lightly clasped one of the odd, clunky bracelets she wore.

“ I am indeed a fighter. I don’t do it as much as I did in youth, but I am sure I still have a spark or two left. “

 - - - -   Naoki could sort of relate to the girl.  He too didn’t have any real family left except for his cousin, Caro.
- - - - - - -   He followed along, looking around to try and find anything that matched the description she gave him.  She said it would catch his eye, but so far he wasn’t having much luck finding it, but then again they had just gotten started.  This might take a while, so why not make conversation?

“ I was passing through and thought this place looked nice to stop at for the day. I’ve been traveling on foot for...a real long time now. I honestly don’t know when I took off from home now-- “

She was actually on the run. Her little pets, they weren’t exactly a widely accepted thing. She  couldn’t say that, though. Surely one day people would understand she was creating them for good. For now, it was dangerous for her to stick around her home town.

✦⌇     No family?  Though he was curious, he wasn’t going to dig any further into that. It wasn’t any of his business.  All he was doing was helping this lady find her pet.  A pet that hopefully didn’t have a very good sense of smell.  It was better to find this thing sooner than later.
- - - - - - ❝   Well, I guess we should get started then.  By the way, what’s your name?  I’m Naoki.

     “ I’m Matilda. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Naoki. “

Well, she had family somewhere, but where they were located now, she had no idea. Only her grandparents remained. Her father had left and the viciousness of war claimed her mother years ago. It was only her, and her little p e t s

She hummed to herself as she proceeded forward, her bright eyes scanning the area.

“DIO,” he began flagging down a taxi ( which was secretly one of his servants– there was no way he’d trust some measly human ). as the vehicle pulled to the side, he opened the door for her to enter. Dio Brando. and may i know your name, dear?”

“ Dio, what an interesting name. “

She hummed to herself as she entered  the taxi, re-adjusting her dress once  she was sat down and comfortable.

     “ Matilda Nightly. “

She replied, a small purr in her tone.

     “ Please do. “

She held her hands behind her back, her grin seemingly stuck to her face.

“ I must ask though, what may I  address you by? I don’t find it  polite to just refer to you as ‘stranger. “
