So, my job is pulling some fuckery AGAIN

I work as an English tutor for a private company and (for a long while) I was one of only TWO tutors for this location, as well as a substitute teacher for a local high school (per diem/not a lot of work days), but I was barely getting hours BUT I was still working at least ten a week (at my pay rate, that's a decent biweekly check).

Then they hired four more tutors after my co-worker left. He did science, math, AND english, so I understood why they would need to replace him since I can only do math to a certain level and I can't do science at all.

BUT TWO OF THE TUTORS THEY HIRED ARE ENGLISH TUTORS.

Which means that I get even fewer hours now. In fact, I worked only SIX hours in the last TWO WEEKS. Which means that my next paycheck is under $200. For two weeks. My next paycheck isn't until April and I have bills to pay food to buy. I have SNAP, thankfully, but it's not enough to cover a full month of food no matter what they try to tell you. Trust me.

So I'm offering commissions for cheap. I will draw/write for you. My drawings aren't amazing, but I'm a pretty decent writer. I have a degree in writing (it's very hard to get a job writing fyi) and I will write most things. Just send me a prompt tbh and I will let you know if it's something I can do.

I'm just struggling a lot right now and I'm about to move so I just...I need help.

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

Last time I had a really bad migraine my cat curled herself round my head and purred sympathetically, and actually stayed there through two of her normal mealtimes. It wasn't until I was able to stagger to the kitchen and grab a protein bar for myself that she gave a very small, polite miaow to the effect of "while you're up... could you get something for me too?"
