During fights, Doug is always the first to say sorry. He is also the first to post something sappy on social media. I am typically late to all things and running full of sass and stories. His kind, quite nature, and outbursts of pure goofy, have filled my life with joy, stability and hope for tomorrow. I am so grateful for the past 12 years of friendship, adventures and Doug's lyrical turrets. I don't know anyone that is as lucky in life as we are, Jones. We had a lot not going for us when we met in Jesus Jail, but we have built a pretty radical life together. You and the States are my delight and I can't thank you enough for holding my hand these past dirty dozen as we followed where the Lord lead. I love you, Doug. You are my favorite.

What we choose to carry with us, can say a lot of who were are. With that said, I was looking for a pen in my bag and discovered I am an idiot ... That doesn't apparently carry pens. But, hey, I have half a dozen action figures that are not my children's, chop sticks, a Nerf gun, FloNase and a piece of a dollar (not a whole one) ....
