— this girl taught me how to love, & now I can’t go back to not knowing this shit.

Ignorance was truly bliss. now I can’t fuck w/ basic girls… now I can’t waste females time— if it ain’t that *fire chemistry* I don’t want it. If it ain’t that *best-friend shit* you won’t see me. if you cool w/ being basic, i’m cool w/ ignoring you.

my girl, is tired of this level just like me. She wants everything this world has to offer — She’s agitated, she’s hungry, she’s misunderstood, she’s focused, & she loves cutting out distractions.

I’ve never met her, but I wish I could tell her I’m omw. I wish I could tell her to keep pushing at whatever she wants to do— YOU GOT IT BAE !!

Reason why I haven't been into anyone in almost two years. I grew up, tired of bs.

African Americans are valid. Their culture is valid.

That being said, stop with the superiority complex (I’m looking at my fellow West Indians and also continental Africans).

We are of one diaspora. Respect and value AA culture and people (respect does not mean only acknowledge it when u want to use it up or shame AAs for learning about African cultures).

Also, stop weaponizing our heritages, languages, phenotypes, and bloodlines and throwing it in their faces. That is evil and dirty.

I felt like this had to be said.

This is so true. As a black person with no knowledge of/connection to my African heritage, I sometimes feel like a watered down/artificial version of what it means to be of African descent. But African American culture really is a culture in and of itself, and that is enough.

Black Americans still carry mannerisms from Africa tho

U guys kiss/suck ur teeth when ur annoyed or upset Dance Voice inflection/tone Hair Music

Like.. Even tho people make u guys feel like ur not African enough… It’s in ur blood and bones and it’s in everything u do.

Like, historically, when white ppl tried to rip ur culture away and pasteurize ur Blackness, ya still held on and kept it and it evolved into the beauty it is today. It still has the same backbone as our cultures do.

Idk I’m rambling. I love u guys and ur valid.

@ my family members.
