Young Wonder. They are an electronic pop duo consisting of Rachel Koeman and Ian Ring from Cork, Ireland. The first time I heard their music was back in 2013 when their EP 'Show Your Teeth' just came out and they easily become one of my top favourite band ever since. Their music compositions is quite unique. They samples ethnical instruments from all over the world and mixed it with modern heavy electronic beats, creating sort of a juxtapose feeling in their songs. Their poetic lyrics were beautifully written and has become one of my influence in my poems. The voice of Rachel, which closely resemble Björk vocals, perfectly delivers those wonderful lyrics. Combine these two elements, and we get great songs like Orange, Intergalactic, Sweet Dreaming, and my all personal favourite song, To You. 'Birth' their debut album was released last year and it was simply an excellence. It gives me the shiver with its atmosphere it creates. I hope someday I can see them performing live.
