Percy freaking Jackson.

Can we please stop making him act like a five years old kid? Sure, he can be playful, and he is an adorable dork, but he is not stupid or clueless.

I could list all the brave and courageous and selfless things he did, but you all have read the books - I hope.

So, yeah. Let’s not treat him like a comic relief, shall we?

okay so, Luke and annabeth give me a lot of feels and people don’t appreciate them enough.

first of all, they are not friends. they are a family. luke is her big brother. don’t you even try to tell me otherWISE
the first night in the Athena cabin was a trauma for little annabeth, who was used to have both luke and thalia holding her close in her sleep
luke did hear her muffled sobs and sneaked inside her cabin because he could not leave his little annabeth alone
of course, he was punished. but he would do it again anyway
when the aphrodite cabin gives annabeth a makeover (the poor baby’s hair looked like a messy mane), she runs up to luke and shows him how cute she is and he can’t help but smile and squish her into a hug
luke would visit thalia’s tree almost everyday. one time, annabeth saw him there, and as soon as she realized that he was crying she walked up to him and wrapped his arms around him without saying a word
this is the first time annabeth sees him crying
of course they would train together
at first, Luke tried to go easy on her, but soon he realized that he didn’t need to do that, unless he wanted to get stabbed
annabeth would glare at any girl who tried to flirt with luke
luke was utterly amused by this
luke lost count of how many times he and annabeth watched Lilo & Stitch.
Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind, or forgotten.
(((annabeth still has the stitch plushie that luke gave her years ago. an old picture and that plushie are the only things left, since she lost her dagger.)))
she slowly starts to delevelop a crush on him, but it’s more of a platonic crush than an actual one.
the boy was her hero, okay.

People don’t realize how hard it is for Annabeth to trust people and to let herself get attached to someone.

That girl’s heart has been broken so many times by people who she thought she could trust.

Imagine how terrified she was when she realized that she /did/ have a crush on Percy, and that he would most likely die. And when she thought she had found a new family, when she thought that Percy would’ve stayed with her, he disappeared.

So yeah, don’t you ever call Annabeth ‘insensitive’. Hell, she is one of the most sensitive characters I have ever seen.

I’m sick of people saying that Heroes of Olympus has characters great for representation except Percy, Annabeth, and Jason. Like fuck that. Percy is representation for all those kids who grew up with abusive, poor families. He represents all the kids whov’e been bullied. Annabeth is representation for all those little blonde girls who are told that just because of that they have to be dumb and girly, but then work their asses off to try and reject that stereotype. She represents all the kids who felt neglected by their families, all the people who reject the idea that blood is thicker than water, when her family didn’t treat her right, she made her own family out of the people who were good to her. Jason is representation for all those kids who never even knew their families. He’s representation for all the people who came from absolutely nothing so they can see they can still be something great. Just because theyre white, believed to be straight characters doesnt mean that they aren’t representation for a lot of people.

Annabeth colour codes everything. Each subject has it’s own coloured folder, and inside that folder are dividers for each individual topic.
She uses a lot of highlighters and coloured post it notes and tabs.
Basically she’s ridiculously organised.
Percy is not.
His handwriting is atrocious when he’s not really concentrating on what he’s writing.
Annabeth takes as many AP classes as she can to “get a head start”.
Percy doesn’t push himself like she does, but he tries his hardest at school because he knows how lucky they are to even have this opportunity, after everything they’ve been through, and he knows how hard Sally and Paul have worked to get him there.
They’re the school’s ‘power couple’ - ardently admired, incredibly intimidating, absolutely unattainable and so obviously smitten that it’s like they’re the stars of their own teen drama tv show.
They find the whole thing very amusing.
Annabeth is a teacher’s pet in some classes and an absolute disdainful shit in others. It really depends on the quality of the teacher.
Percy’s charisma means that everyone likes him, but even after being lauded at camp, he’s not used to the idea of popularity, so no one gets particularly close to him.
They both have a lot of friends, though, even if they do have to keep secrets from them.
Annabeth encourages Percy to try out for the Swim Team, because it’s not good for him to go long without a swim, it’s a good outlet for his extra energy, and it’ll look great on his college applications.
Also she gets to laugh at him in a Speedo.
He goes to her Debates and never tells her exactly how terrifying she can get when the topic is one she’s passionate about. He’s pretty sure the other schools start shaking whenever they see they’re up against AHS and the formidable Annabeth Chase.
The Seven have monthly catch ups, no matter how much homework they have or whatever else is going on in their lives; as Frank likes to say, there’s always time for a bloodthirsty game of Uno between friends.
Paul sits at the kitchen table with Percy and helps him with his homework, switching easily between Dad-mode to Teacher-mode as required.
When Percy gets an A on an assignment that had him absolutely stumped before Paul stepped in to help, he throws his arms around him and says, “Thanks, Dad! I couldn’t have done it without you!”
They all go out for dinner to celebrate and none of them can stop smiling.
As Prom approaches rumours swirl about various people wanting to ask Percy and Annabeth to go with them. No one bothers, though, because the answer is obvious.
Percy doesn’t make a huge show of asking Annabeth. They’re lying in his bed one night, and he’s running his hands through her hair and she’s lazily tracing circles over his bare chest and he says, “So, do I really have to wear a tux to Prom?”
He asks her again, two days later, by bringing a blue cake he baked himself to school. He shows it to her as they sit alone in the courtyard, and she grins when she sees ‘Prom?’ spelled out in icing across the top.
“You totally stole my idea,” she teases.
“Oh, come on,” he says. “You can’t make it easy and just say yes, can you?”
“I told you, Seaweed Brain; I’m never, ever, going to make things easy for you.”
He takes her kiss as confirmation, anyway.
