How To Improve Your Life In Little Ways
- Set out an outfit every night for the next day. Even if you don’t think you’re going to get dressed or ready tomorrow, it’s there just in case. I always feel more productive when I actually get ready for the day.
- Create a ritual for yourself, turning the mundane, boring things into an event. Such as your skin care, your shower, your breakfast, the half hour before you go to sleep, the drive to work or school, etc.
- Find little ways to improve your day.
- Set your days up to be better. Clean your room in the morning to make sure you have a tidy space to come home to. Have a water bottle handy and full so you end up drinking enough water. Sprinkle some lavender essential oil on your sheets in the morning so you can come home and sleep in a relaxing comfy bed.
- Pamper yourself in little ways. Do a face mask once a week. Use that nice body butter. Get a pair of hotel slippers and a fluffy robe to wear in the mornings.
- Find ways to incorporate things you like into tasks you don’t.
- Surround yourself with beautiful things and wonderful people.
I feel like some people (including me) need a reminder of this sometimes. Always make time to take care of yourselves, physically and mentally.
me after doing some impulsive shit that i know im gonna regret later: its called being spontaneous

i love going to bed at 10pm and waking up by 6:30am. i love my early mornings. i love coffee. coffee. i love sticking to my routine. i prioritize my running workouts and would rather stay in than go out lol. i like doing simple things. i could spend my entire day in a coffee shop, people watching, reading, writing. this is fun for me. simplicity. simple things with special people is more important to me than anything but sometimes i feel like no one is content with just these sorts of things.

“My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart.”
— Maya Angelou (via purplebuddhaquotes)
self-care is walking away from things that you know keep you stuck. it’s messy, it hurts, it isn’t always pretty. it’s doing the things that make you feel like a little like you’re falling apart because you know that you can only ever grow to be more of the person you want to be if you push through the tough shit. self-care is choosing to fight for your peace.
it’s not a coincidence. that your best workouts. are after a day/days. when you eat a lot. enough. and feel fueled. satisfied. even when it’s outside of your comfort zone. even if irrational thoughts are telling you otherwise. it’s not a coincidence that you feel strong and smooth. in workouts that should be the hardest of your life. days after you have consistently, continuously fed your body adequate fuel.
I want to stay up all night and just listen to you tell me everything you’ve ever seen
