one of my favorite things about listening to Hamilton is the transition between Dear Theodosia and Non-Stop because since I haven’t seen it my vision of the staging is Burr and Hamilton carefully cradling their babies and then just tossing them in the air with “AF-ter the war”

If anyone’s like, curious, the place that the “slutty, slutty years” meme came from is THIS ORIGINAL POST, in which the OP, without a hint of fucking irony, which… take my word for it, she’s not joking, acts like Tumblr users saying that slutshaming women in general is not okay is not in line with being okay with “slutshaming Alexander Hamilton.” And then hits it with “Tumblr logic #why the fuck am I still here” it’s honestly the funniest post I’ve ever seen, and then people commented on it to bring us to the “slutty, slutty years” wording.

omfmsjdmai basically burr had this plan to buy a plot of land in texas territory and help the people under Spanish rule declare independence and then hopefully secure for himself a position in the newly formed government that would put him in power again and help his career. jefferson accused him of treason and plotting to start a war with the U.S. and annex parts of the Louisiana purchase for himself and a new Empire he was supposedly going to build. burr involved himself with a cast of real characters ™ and the whole thing was so hilariously mismanaged and pathetic and buckwild
