Inspiring HRT journeys from Instagram and Tumblr. Estrogen and Testosterone have varying degrees of impact on each trans person, but there’s no denying the influence they have on living our truth. Check out each personal account for more information on their respective transitions.

Oh my 💕

They are all so beautiful!!

all these pop songs about “doing work” and “work work work” make me feel like i’m in some heavy-handed YA dystopian novel where the evil capitalist overlords keep the proletariat in line with brainwashing/propaganda in song form

you know what makes me happy?

that guard in lamarque’s funeral that was part of the revolution, apparently.

A whole bunch of them actually were! In real life!

Some of the national guards who were part of the procession had revolutionary sympathies and some of them joined the insurrection (especially after the dragoons attacked the crowd)

Same goes for some of the artillerymen who were also participating in the convoy, AND there were some infantrymen on the Place de la Bastille who just stood there and let the insurgent pass by without a fight

The national guard c. late 1830 was the place to be for republicans, so much so that the artillery unit got (temporarily) disbanded and their uniforms illegalized!

Yeah!  And this is another reason why the ‘32 revolt was NOT an obviously bad idea, or ill-considered– there was real reason to think the National Guard might join them again,or at least send over more volunteers once the fighting started!

…and then that didn’t happen. But it was a reasonable thing to be hoping for, based on the very recent past!

(agh I have some good quotes about this but I can’t find the book rn, frustration!)

do u ever feel like you’ve accidentally tricked certain people into thinking you are smarter and have more potential than you actually do and do you ever think about how disappointed they’ll be when you inevitably crash and burn

Fun fact: Impostor Syndrome is ridiculously common among high-achievers, particularly women. If you identify with this post, odds are pretty good that you’re exactly as smart as people think you are, and the failure you’re afraid of isn’t inevitable at all.

My computer science professor actually talked about this on the first day, it was really cool.
