Justice and BlackQuill //Starter for SecretSimonSays//
“Huh? Oh…”
Apollo most certainly hadn’t been expecting to be invited in - really, he’d been convinced the Prosecutor hated him - but maybe things weren’t the way he’d originally thought.
At least, not in terms of Prosecutor Blackquill - Taka, on the other hand, stared at him so intently that Apollo couldn’t help but stiffen, just a little it - how often had that bird threatened to pluck out his eyeballs, or even pickpocket his bracelet, like Mr. Finch?
“Uhh… thanks.”
The brunet’s footsteps were cautious as he made his way through into the office, eyes catching sight of the Shogi board just as it was mentioned - it sort of reminded him of the chess board in Prosecutor Edgeworth’s office…
“Uh.. no… I don’t really know that much about it; sorry.”
For a man who had studied under Metis it was not difficult to distinguish the uncomfortable tone in Apollo’s voice, Simon closed the door behind them both before Taka suddenly swooped down to perch on the prosecutor’s shoulder.
“I see. Well if you ever care to learn the art, the offer is there.” Though his expression remained one that could strike fear into the hearts of many Simon really meant no harm. His thinly pressed lips quirked up into a smirk. “It may serve you well to put some more knowledge behind that large forehead of yours.”
Yes, he was particularly pleased with that quip.
“Anyway…”
Simon stepped over to his desk, picking up a piece of paper with a few names and code numbers on it for various cases taking place. He handed it to Apollo to glance at. It was a sensitive document, but it wasn’t as though he’d be letting Apollo leave with it. “You wouldn’t happen to be working on any of these, would you?”
