Been quite a while since I’ve posted on this blog.

Here’s a couple of wireframe-inspired images I finished recently - “hero” images for tutorial content based on the new Experience Design CC app from Adobe.

The first image is centered around how the app can be used to lay out your pages, while the second is focused on the prototype feature of the app.

Thanks AD Dean Dapkus!

A couple of 3 layer screen prints. I love alliterations, so I decided to make a visual one using an insect and a fruit (in this case, moths and melons.) Hopefully the first one in a series...would be fun to make a zine out of ‘em!

been exploring ceramics for the past couple months.

recently I started playing around with a technique called sgraffito, where you paint underglaze on unfired clay and then draw into the clay. any underglaze scraped away will show up as your drawing when fired! Been having a lot of fun exploring a more three-dimensional way of making. More to come…

Selections from a series of (very large) illustrations I made last year for Adobe's Speedgrade, Muse, and Flash Professional. These were broken down into a bunch of smaller images to accompany tutorials that don't have custom illustrations.

WRITHE

An exploratory series that inspired by my own collection of succulents and house plants. I always find it strange how we indulge in this cathartic and slow process of caring for things that were never meant to be in our boxed-off worlds.

This is a work in progress, and hope to double the image count by the end of it. A packaged set of prints will be available in the spring, as I experiment with various traditional and mechanical printing methods. I've designed a a really cool container for them live in when not on a wall as well! Stay tuned...
