Hoping to rewrite muse information and get this blog up and running again by sometime next week. I think it’ll be good to give this muse another go to see if I’d be keen to revive some of my old blogs for official characters.

-insert nonexistant Mun fc here- I know there are only 20 of you following me (and perhaps only a fraction of that still active) but I’m gonna post this anyway. Been thinking of potentially revamping and rebooting this blog once semester ends and I have more time. I’m not sure. I’ve got pretty mixed feelings about using Tumblr as a writing medium again.

“Thank you.” She answered softly. A light tap of her boots sounding as she turned to walk away. Lunaria…. Interesting name. Muscles froze at the question she spoke, a raven brow raising. Slowly turning to face the female once more, she cocked her head in dismay. “I’m not     why do you ask?” Whether it may have been her presence that shadowed the untainted glow of the town, she hadn’t known. The dark attributes of her clothing might of concluded such a suspicion.
Smiling warmly, the raven attempted to express the enjoyment to that of a normal human’s. The facade of expressions used to conceal the empty and emotionless interior beneath. The darkness within accounted for every part of her being, paving a more reasonable path towards the true identity of her race. Rarely had such a darkness been seen or even spoken of, it had been known it was there but no one was willing to accept it quite yet. Using memories of the past, most were able to remember what expression to use for a given situation. But without a heart, such a situation had been unintentionally meaningless.
                          “Is there something wrong, miss?”

★  - Determined to have her answers, Cynthia stepped forward to follow the girl after noticing that they had turned to leave, now that their own enquiry had been answered. The Lunarian’s words brought the girl to pause, returning their attention to her, as Cynthia noticed the look of dismay but found the feeling in question to be absent in the cluster of emotions pressed against her empathic sense.  Was the girl feigning it? Hiding it somehow? Cynthia was unsure, and that sense of uncertainty was feeding the growing feeling of concern concealed behind her smile – its strained length faltering with the girl’s words.

        The girl had lied.

The false warmth of the girl’s smile could not ease the Lunarian; the presence of the darkness having put Cynthia on edge, and on alert, which caused Cynthia’s fingers to curl slightly in anticipation to call Farine in the first instance of danger. Something wasn’t right here and so far the strange girl hadn’t given Cynthia many reasons to trust her – only plenty of reasons not to.  It was sad. She wanted to trust the girl, she seemed friendly enough, and the Lunarian was always eager to make more Otherworlder friends… But what if that was the ploy? What if the darkness was just hiding behind a pretty face and kind words in order to falsely win the trust of others? It was not as if Cynthia could sense any ill intent they may or may not harbour with her empathic abilities seemingly blocked.

❝ That depends. If you intend to keep lying to me, then yes, something is wrong. I know you aren’t from Lunaria because the only people to call this kingdom home are either Lunarians or dragons; and with an appearance like yours, you’re clearly not either of the two. You can’t even be from another planet in the sol system either, given that a ship hasn’t stopped in Lunaria for years and I’d be one of the first people to know about it if one did.❞

Cynthia paused, her eyes narrowing as a seriousness overshadowed her demeanour and turned her voice stern. ❝ Now I’m going to ask you a question – and I expect you to answer it honestly because if you lie and I find out about it, which I will, it won’t help your case later. What I want to know is if the darkness that just flared a few minutes ago, and the darkness that is still lingering around, is you.❞

“This is definitely not Traverse Town.” Xion mumbled quietly, her corridor quickly closing behind her as she stepped onto unfamiliar territory. Hues gazing around curiously, she caught eye of a female nearby. Boots thumping against the ground, she slowly raced towards the other. Stopping short, a forefinger lightly tapped against her arm. “Excuse me, can you tell me where I am? Er     I’m not from around here.”

★  -  A darkness pierced Lunaria; its presence a harsh contrast to the soft light of the city, whose denizens remained blissfully unaware of the darkness’ fleeting visit – save for a few. But such a short-lived moment was easily overlooked, missed, forgotten, and had it not been for the Lunarian Princess nearby it would have gone entirely without notice.

Concern quickened Cynthia’s pace, steering her through the crowd to the source swiftly as she was able without raising some form of alarm or panic. Upon drawing near Cynthia slowed to allow her gaze to drift in search of the disturbance, the supposed threat to her people, which had found its way to Lunaria through the darkness. Instead, Cynthia found her tension broken by a tender tap against her arm and an unknown voice that had succeeded in snagging the Lunarian’s attention. Cynthia turned, finding her green hues coming to rest on the young girl; their ebony hair and garb greatly setting them apart from the bright figures of the Lunarians, many of which stared in her direction as they passed by.

❝ You’re in the kingdom of Lunaria, and you’re from another world…aren’t you?❞ Confusion had seeped into the Lunarian’s tone, its concealed weight pulling at the length of Cynthia’s smile and straining it ever so slightly. This girl couldn’t have been the source of the darkness, could she? Had to be some kind of mistake Cynthia reasoned – and yet, Cynthia failed to shake the sensation that something struck odd with this particular stranger. The princess soon realised that she couldn’t detect a stream of emotions from this young girl, not like she could with others, even those that came and went on their way down the street still exuded some sort of presence. Some sort of impression. But this girl…
