I vlogged the Seattle International Sailor Moon Day event; I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did attending it!
First pictures I’m sharing of my finished Twinrova cosplay, make up and all!

FOR MY FELLOW COSPLAYERS AND SEWING FANATICS
In the video the woman explains how to use the widest zig-zag stitch on your sewing machine to gather fabric! :D Tbh this is an amazing way to gather fabric! I just tried it out for myself and it saved me so much time. I’ve tried just using the “regular” method but it looks so bad and it’s frustrating to me but this is so awesome
Gorgeous cosplay of Usagi’s final form in episode 200 by Lo.
Cosplay is such a weird hobby. Like, you see a character and your first instinct is to go “I wish to wear their clothes and pretend to be them and I will spend hundreds of dollars to do so. Ah yes. This is perfectly reasonable.”
“wow that outfit looks so cool and heavy and uncomfortable and impractical I MUST WEAR IT TOO”
Okay but are you reading Unbeatable Squirrel Girl yet?
I won a thing and almost didn't notice the notification!
My expensive, but beautiful, accessories arrived today! #princessdaisy #cosplay #eccc #sakuracon I hope I feel better soon so I can get back to work on the dress!

Here’s a little PSA for you con goers. Do not criticize someones cosplay because of their age Do not shame someone in cosplay because of their weight Do not point out a cosplayers flaw, scars, birthmark, makeup smudge Do not blame a cosplayer for their insecurities Do not slap a cosplayers ass without consent Do not cat call any cosplayers Do not be racist to cosplayers Do not judge cosplayers because of gender
DO NOT BE AN ASSHOLE TO COSPLAYERS ANY AGE, SIZE, GENDER, OR SKIN TONE
Some costumes I'd like to make in 2015! The only one that will DEFINITELY be finished this year is Daisy; the others are just wishful thinking at this point.
Princess Daisy: Hoping to debut at Emerald City Comic Con 2015!
Four Swords Zelda: I'd like to make another LoZ costume for Kumoricon 2015, but I'm not 100% set on which one. Four Swords Zelda has been on my list for forever, though, so probably either her or old-school A Link to the Past Zelda.
Lina Inverse: A group of us decided to do a Slayers group for Sakuracon, but I haven't heard anything about it since we initially planned it at Kumoricon so I doubt it's happening. I'd still like to wear Lina, though! Hopefully by Sakuracon 2015.
Kanzaki Hitomi: If I'm making Lina, I probably won't make time to make Hitomi for Sakuracon as well, but because my friend Trudy was recognized by exactly 0 people at Kumoricon 2014 as Millerna, I'd like to make a Hitomi costume to wear with her in hopes that we'd be recognized by more people. She was pretty bummed.
Miyazono Kaori: I've been watching Your Lie in April since its debut on Crunchyroll, and I love it. It's by far my favorite anime in years. I feel a little silly wanting to make a costume for a character so much younger than me, but I really love Kaori and I'd like to make a tribute to her before Your Lie in April is no longer current, so maybe for Kumoricon 2015?
Super Sailor Moon: This has been on my costume wishlist ever since I started cosplaying back in 2003. If I do make it this year, it definitely won't be until Kumoricon, but with Sailor Moon Crystal pushing Sailor Moon even further into popularity, I think it's time to make this if I have the chance!
Einheria Venus: I really love Bravely Default, and I'd love to make a costume from it before the sequel comes out. The Valkyrie costume is my favorite, and I don't really have any particular attachment to doing it at Einheria rather than Anges or Edea. This is just a better reference picture. I'm not even going to bother putting this in my upcoming costumes list on the sidebar of the blog because there's literally no way I'm going to have time to make it this year unless I go to another con after Kumoricon, which is not the plan. If that changes, though, I'll see what I can do!
In other news, I finally bought these. I'm still pissed off that the person selling them just stopped emailing me last year after telling me they'd put the earrings into their store as well, even after I told them it was fine if they found that it wasn't a possibility and that I'd just buy the crown and jewel and make the earrings if need be, BUT they're still gorgeous and almost certainly better than anything I could make on my own with my current skill level, so here I am, buying them anyway.
I plan to have Daisy finished for Emerald City Comic Con; I'm only going on Saturday, though! I have a lot of work to do on the costume.
these are basically accurate if not more fat-shaming than i approve of

I’m going! I’m gonna try to get my copy of The Last Unicorn signed. :x
Yesss, me too! Will you be going to the 6:00 Q&A/movie viewing? :D
I'll be at Jet City Comic Show on November 8th, mostly because Peter S Beagle will be there! He's my absolute favorite author.
Will I be seeing any of you there, too?
