you know what i like about seventeen’s “nice” the most? it’s the fact that it is a song and a concept that really fits who they are as people. like they’re a bunch of teenage boys for the most part and like the fact that just a girl blinking and giving them a second of her attention is enough to send them into disarray is like. it’s so befitting. 

it’s innocent but it’s also heart stopping. im glad they’re not being pushed into making songs that are inclined toward hypersexualizing boys their age and that they’re romanticizing the kind of wow! factor that you get with a crush when you’re a teenager instead of making songs about girls playing hard to get, sexy bodies, or anything really that just doesn’t fit them and is demeaning to women.

also it’s good because they’re keeping the majority of their fans in mind. young fans deserve to see love the way seventeen portrays it. a boy head over heels for his crush, but not approaching them without consent or pushing their boundaries. it’s also such a good message to not only young female fans, but young male fans who have crushes! it’s like; hey this person you like gives you this bursting feeling in your heart and that’s what matters. that feeling, not having to jump to something physical or anything like that. not sure if this makes sense, but i just wanted to say it!!!
