Everett smiled some while he listened, his mind going miles an hour. Laughing some, he shook his head. “Nah, never shown me a picture of them,” he said, idly scratching his chest, over the one marring thing he had on his own skin. “It must be like how my dad and grandfather are trying to see who has the most sweaters…” shaking his head, he glanced around wondering where the waitress was, stomach growling. “It is literally the most embarrassing thing you’ll ever witness, them trying to outdo tacky Christmas sweaters. Tattoos are way more hardcore.”

As soon as he was told, Spencer fished his phone out, pushing aside more than a few baggies of weed to do so. “Not quite, but that sounds adorable.” He passed the phone over, a picture of his father and brother in the kitchen, both father without a shirt and looking over his shoulder so that the detailed wings on his back stood out. “That’s my dad and my brother.” Of course, it didn’t occur to him in the least that his father looked only his age - he couldn’t remember what he had told Everett about his family at this point anyway.

“I know,” Dimitri insisted, a soft sigh on his lips at the kisses. Calais was so wonderful to him. But he was right. There was a chance it could have happened without them planning at all, or ever even having a conversation about it. Especially since he had it on his mind so often lately - it only increased the chances. This way was certainly better. “Good. And I am yours, as I am always.” Truly, he would have it no other way. Examining the sketch, Dimitri brushed over it very, very lightly - so not to smudge it - with the pad of his index finger. His sweet baby boys. “You’ve given Spencer our nose. He has Papa’s nose. And the lines of Silas’ face are too harsh. That didn’t happen until he got older. He was a very soft, round baby.”

“You’ve been mine since we were born,” Cal said softly, nipping his skin gently. “And I’ve been yours just as long.” He tucked his head down, resting against Dimitri’s neck and under his chin. The advice was welcome, since he hadn’t been able to place it. Taking up the pencil and eraser in one hand, he trusted his brother to hold the paper steady as he scrubbed the offending parts out and started to refigure them, replacing Spencer’s nose and softening the features on Silas. “Oh. Yeah, okay, thank you. That’s a lot better. What tattoos did they have at that age? Any yet?”

“Yet you say your grandfather name as if I should know him.” Anders could not keep his eyes off the young male. Something about him so terribly intoxicating but he would not let himself give into it. “Hopefully see me again? You would be the first that was hopeful to see me. Most dread it happening.”

Spencer shrugged slightly, although it was pretty clear that he already wasn’t sure how to derail the conversation from the direction he had taken it. “I, uh, I mean, I guess. I dunno, man.” Another nervous laugh as he fiddled with his napkin for a bit. “Would I? Well, most people fucking suck, huh? I’m okay being the first for that.”

“Can and will bite you, Holden.” Felix warned, tapping the top of his head lightly with the brush. It wasn’t an empty threat. He would most definitely do it if he felt inclined. “Suppose that makes sense. Ruins the magic - guess that’s why I assumed he wasn’t real.” So long as Dimitri and Calais didn’t know that, Felix was alright. Otherwise they might have to explain to their boys about a certain ‘truth’ they had learned, as all children eventually did. “How about we forget family dinners for a little bit and just have a romantic dinner for two?” It seemed a lot easier than trying to pin down everyone for a single meal. “Something to do with the Fates? I don’t know, Dimitri is all gossip sometimes. But still human. Maybe it’s a good thing that Brittia has found someone mortal?” He shrugged, paying more attention to Holden’s hair now. “This is confetti,” the announcement came as Felix pulled a glittery strand of confetti from his husband’s hair and handed it to him with a shake of his head. “Where did you get confetti? – Stop pouting. Let me finish your hair and then I promise I won’t bother you with a hairbrush for at least another month or two.”

“Don’t start things you don’t plan to finish, gorgeous,” Holden shot back, smacking his husband’s leg lightly. They both knew that biting led to distinctly more horizontal activities than grooming. “Most people do. It’a not like I ever met him anyway. I know because Thana knows.” That was how Holden gained a lot of the knowledge he had in any case. A small smile grew over his lips at the thought of time alone with Felix, though, and he looked up, pulling him down for a kiss before he let the task continue again. “I like the sound of that. Let’s do it. Candles, flowers, the works, hm?” With a sigh, he shrugged lightly. “I don’t know, baby. I’m sure it’ll be easier. The whole thing is gonna be hell when Eden goes. Brittia being with a mortal is certainly going to have a better turn out than that, or with Thras and Cab.” He wasn’t opposed to the idea of it, it just seemed odd for it to have happened with a dead boy.” He grunted again as Felix pulled pieces from his mane of hair, turning to look at the piece and take it. “I don’t know, love, I sleepwalk, maybe I went through a party?”

Liam could not help but smirk. Not only for the comment of a little pain, which he too greatly enjoyed but also watching his brother kissing this very hansom male. He could watch that all night, or maybe not. Moving closer to them both and running his hands down Tas back. “I can provide the pain.” Knowing that Lucas was not one to like inflicting pain, even if he might have liked receiving it.

He adored the males hands on him pressing into the touch and craving even more. “I hope I can provide the pleasure then.” A slight smirk on his lips, keeping himself close to Tass

Being pressed between the two of them was like heaven for Tassos and he wrapped one hand around Lucas, squeezing his cheeks tight, the other hand around Liam behind him to hold him close. “Good plan,” he agreed, voice husky and low. “Help me get my shirt off, boys? I’m wearing too much, I think.”

“Hey, watch your mouth. I’m no mortal.” Had been at one point, yes, but Felix hadn’t felt human in a long time. He had seen and done so many things that his prior human self could never have comprehended. Always quick to assume anything and everything was possible since he’d met Holden there were very few things Felix dismissed as untrue. Santa Claus and Jesus were on that list but apparently he was wrong. “So he became a commercial success to get people to do his work for him? Sounds brilliant, really.” Shrugging, Felix locked his knees tight on either side of Holden so he couldn’t escape so easily and sprayed him down with the detangler. “We don’t have to invite them over. But yeah, Dimitri told me he used to be a ghost but is now apparently not. That just makes him human though, right?” It was all very confusing. But Felix definitely understood where Eden was with all these things. “Poor guy, didn’t ever have a chance of his kids dating normal mortals.” Laughing softly, Felix took the brush to Holden’s hair, gently tugging through it. He held the bits that were most tangled, to keep from pulling too hard, and used his fingers to work through especially difficult knots. “I never would, love. I like your hair long and unruly. But it’s become quite the mess.”

“My love, you still think like a mortal sometimes. Stop thinking things are impossible and then I will stop making you sound like a mortal..” Of course, he knew that that wasn’t the case. Felix had been his lover long enough for their children to have children who were grown. Mostly, he was just bitter abuot being groomed. “I think it more happened because people didn’t get what they wanted, or they had to make up for the slack he couldn’t get to. And then commercial retail took over as it does with everything.” As he was detangled, he tilted his head back and fiddled with the fabric of his jeans, shrugging slightly. “Well, Thana might blow it off or come late and leave early - he still does that a lot. Konis will be a bitch the whole time. If we bring the kids into it, it becomes even more of a mess.” As the brush started on his hair, he grunted and frowned hard. “Oh, well... Don’t tell Thana. Yeah, that makes him human, but not like Eden anyway. He can’t win.” Another grunt and he fought the urge to pull away from the brush in his locks. “Yeah, yeah...”

“We shall be okay with that.” Liam was never one to feed from people, not directly, but Lucas was. He would be the one to need to keep his control. Liam saw Tassos leaning in to kiss his brother and the first chance he got he too was there, kissing the male neck.

Lucas said nothing but let his lips tell the male what he wanted. A deep kiss, eyes closing and hands moving to grip onto his hips.

“Maybe you are,” Tassos breathed between kisses. “But I do love it when there’s just a bit of pain involved.” He groaned softly, tilting his head and pressing closer to both of them, the hand on Lucas sliding down his body to grip his hip as he held the other man close.

“You would give me the world if you could,” Dimitri nodded, knowing how Calais was always so quick to give him exactly what he asked for. Despite that having been an aspect all of their lives Dimitri never took advantage of it. He knew Cal’s generosity but asking him to do something that he didn’t truly want wasn’t something he could bring himself to do. Definitely not to Calais. But this time he could feel it in his gut. Cal was going to give him what he wanted and though he sat on no particular side of the fence he would go happily along with whatever Dimitri chose. He would be a spectacular parent just as he was for the boys and he loved that so dearly about his husband. Eyes fluttered closed as the other kissed his jaw and he let loose a happy sigh, head tilted, arms locked around Dimitri’s neck. “Tonight all I want is you, as I do every night.” And that would never change. “What were you sketching?” He asked, eyes opened again to glance at the sketchpad the other had put down not long ago.

“I would,” Cal agreed, pressing a few kisses to his skin. “That’s not what this is, though, and I don’t want you to think it’s all about my trying to just give you the world. It is something I want, I just don’t really care when it happens. I knew it would. There’s every chance that it would have happened without us even planning it. At least this way, we’ve got a chance to prepare. No accidents.” That, of course, worried him more than anything. A pair of men who could have accidental children, and wake up with them with no warning. The way his parents had discovered them was a nightmare as far as he was concerned. “I am all yours tonight, then. As I am every night.” He hummed softly, wrapping him closer against him as he pulled the book back. Flipping it open, he revealed a sketch of their sons, just children, wound up in one another and a blanket. “Something’s not right with their faces.”
