Ben Barnes was really doing the absolute MOST in all of his scenes. He was like: my entrance is going to be fabulous. In the first scene my presence will literally fill the tent. I will have so much sexual tension with the main character that you can almost physically see it. I am going to play a man who is absolutely lost but absolutely in love at the same time. And then I am going to embrace the darkness. The feral anger. The angst. I am going to look so good being bad everyone will hold their breath when I walk into the room. But still have SO much emotion. And then AND THEN in my backstory I am just going to be so full of emotions that you’re really left thinking ‘maybe the Darkling has points?’ I will treat every moment deathly seriously but also have moments of humor. I am on 110% mode every waking moment from my first arrival to when I walk out of the fold.

And I think that’s very sexy of him.

So they’ve started filming season 11, and from the pictures people in Senoia have posted the ASZ is in rough shape straight off the bat. With Hilltop burned, the Kingdom shuttered up, and Oceanside not being anywhere near big enough to take everyone in even if they wanted to, I’m starting to lean towards the series proper ending with all the local communities dispersing and the spin-off actually being a small bunch of core characters going on with Daryl and Carol. (And let’s face it, this cast has been far too big to really deep dive on anyone for a long, long time.)

From the looks of things, the first part of S11 is going to be about the group traveling in search of a new home, which should be fun. I miss the days they were just trying to survive out on the road. I imagine the second part of S11 is going to be about them trying to settle into the Commonwealth, and probably running into a fuck ton of problems there.

The Carol and Daryl spinoff is going to be about the two of them getting a fresh start together. They’ll of course run into a lot of new characters, but none of the ones we’re already familiar with are joining them. I’m fairly certain of that.
