My walk with God

This week has been a whirlwind week full of exciting new things. Throughout this week God the Father has reminded me that I am chosen. Ephesians 2:10 says... “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” My creation was not by accident or chance and neither was yours. But God created us with purpose that he foreknew before we were ever born. Walking fully in our purpose requires the right perspective. It requires a life defined by praise and thankfulness. It requires faith...hope...and love.

If we find ourselves ever lacking these things, it’s not too late to turn back. Ask God to give you what you don’t have. We are set apart, chosen, and so beloved by God. It is our identity in Christ that should define us ... not the worlds. And I want to see the world further changed by the Gods chosen ones. Have a blessed Sunday lovelies! 💕

Hope part 4... What do you do when your hopes are delayed? Is it a sign that what I want isn’t what God wants for me? 😕 Let’s be honest delay can be a hope killer. There have been times in my life when I have hoped, prayed, cried, begged, and bargained with God. But still there was no manifestation. I’ve seen my hopes and faith go through the roofs and confirmed by repeated prophetic words... and still nothing. And as the years pass by you wonder... “Did God really say?” ... “Did I get it wrong?” ... “What else do I need to do God?” “When is it my turn?” During these moments you have a choice... Will you allow doubt and delay to kill your hopes OR will you use it to grow your hopes to another level. Which is why it is so important to know God’s word. Ask yourself do I believe that God is good Father and that he is for me? Do I believe that I am more than a conqueror? Do I believe that Gods plans for me are greater than whatever I could dream? Do I trust God enough to sacrifice today’s pleasure for something greater that God wants to give? And can I wait for his timing? Ladies I can tell you that there are things that I’m still hoping for...but I have also seen the fruit of waiting with hope...and in the end trust in God never disappoints. Trust the love of our God and keep your eyes focused on the things above. Even in the midst of continuous delay and disappointment believe that God is good and taking your life to places beyond your wildest hopes. Be blessed lovelies. 💕

Hope Part 3...

So I recently just finished my graduate program and graduation is a week away. Finally here I’m hit with the question of what to do next? Have you ever gotten excited about something and before your hope can solidify you disqualify yourself. Immediately you think of all the reasons why it couldn’t happen or why you’re not worthy. Why do we do this????🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ How many times have I talked myself out Gods plans for me? 😩We ask God for favor and to do the impossible yet we crumble at the thought of even being vulnerable enough to try. We quickly destroy the seed of our dreams because even in our imagination we flee failure and and fear disappointment. Instead we pursue the dreams that we can rationalize and are achievable within our limits. Ladies we gotta do better. Examine your life and the dreams that you never allowed yourself to hope for. Praying ....Father give us the ability to hope beyond our limits. Be blessed lovelies.

Hope: I desire to be a person who has contagious hope. At times I have been described as being unrealistic or living in a fantasy world. I think people underestimate the power of hope and how it affects your life. For the past 6 months or so I have felt my hope under attack and at first I didn’t really realize that was what was happening. Negativity is too easy to find and disappointment can breed despair. Hopelessness will keep you stagnant and guarded as you try your best guard yourself from being disappointed. But I want to encourage you to get to get crazy hopeful. Wake up and expect that goodness and mercy will follow you. Expect that God will be with you and make you successful. Expect a life better than you can dream. And even when life beats you up and everything in you tells you that you have no reason to be hopeful. Hold on and hope anyway. Because at the end of the day we have an incorruptible hope in Jesus Christ. If ever that feels like it’s not enough I encourage you go back to those moments with Christ when you felt like you could take anything this world could throw at you. If you never had those moments I would love to share my hope with you. Don’t be afraid to ask for help I would love to talk, pray, or encourage you. Praying for you lovelies! Hold on and get your hopes up!

Reading this today I was overwhelmed by the extravagant goodness of our God. There are no prerequisites to a relationship with God... no worries that you won’t be accepted... no long distances to travel just to get to him... God says call on him and you will be saved. How can this be so easy when everything else in life is so hard? Because it wasn’t easy. It was the hardest thing God ever had to do. To leave heaven and become a man to live among his creation. To endure the pain and suffer of the cross... taking upon himself the full wrath of God... and yet the Bible says he endured all this for the joy set before him. Jesus did the hardest work and he removed every obstacle that could ever keep you from him. No matter the time, place, or circumstances in your life Jesus says all who come to him will be saved. So Can and I were walking through the Natural History Museum. When Can asked “Would you like to know the secrets of the world?” “Of course.” I said “The Bible says you can ask the Lord and he will tell you things you can’t possibly know.... I’ve prayed that verse many times” Can asked “What do you want to know?” “Lol I don’t even know what to ask because the Bible says I can’t possibly know.” I said Now when I’ve prayed this verse in the past I’ve always thought that the Lord was gonna give me the cure to cancer or something like that. But this day the Holy Spirit reminded me of the verse in Matthew 16 where Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus then tells him that he knows this because the Father has revealed it to him. Now what is the greatest mystery in the universe???? TO KNOW GOD!!! Suddenly I realize that God has answered this prayer so many times as he had continued to reveal more of himself to me 😲😲😲...something that is too big and impossible for me to know....AND that he wishes to share more secrets about himself. Now can this verse apply to other things I’m sure but to know more of Jesus means to know more about everything. This season of my life I have truly seen Gods Great Grace. Every time I deserved less, but God did exceeding above what I could ask, think, or imagine. Jesus my praise is inadequate to describe the breadth of your goodness. You have proven your faithfulness time and time and time again. As I prepare to marry my best friend in just 10 days you have done it again. It wouldn’t even be possible if you didn’t love me so much. Where there was lack you provided. Where there was doubt you brought peace. Where there was fear you gave me love. 2017 has been a whirlwind year for me. Filled with so many wonderful things and some really hard things. God has answered some of my greatest prayers and I’m am so thankful. Through everything that has happened God has proven his faithfulness over and over. There are still a few days left in 2017, and I’m still excited to see what else God has in store. Try not to be so hasty to jump into next year, and trust God in his process even when it sucks. When I reflect on the hard things I’ve had to endure I am amazed by my future. I know that all these things are doing a greater work in me that is preparing for the wonderful plan God has for my life.
