I found all my old diaries from preteens to a few years ago and every single one of them revolves around 'I am so alone, no one loves me and I don't want to be here anymore'.

I have grown up thinking that I'm completely unlovable and would never connect with anyone. I've had breakdowns thinking I was asexual because I never felt chemistry or attraction to anyone.

To have fallen in love with not only someone who loves me back, but with someone who is the funniest, smartest, kindest and most amazing person ever is something I never expected to happen. I'm shocked everyday at how he is always supporting me, always there for me, always making me feel special and making me laugh.

The last three years are the happiest I've ever felt in my life and I love him so much.

I believe in the kind of love that doesn’t demand me to prove my worth and sit in anxiety.

a natural connection, where my soul is able to recognize a feeling of home in another. something that allows me to be me without question.

“People think that intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realise you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is ‘You’re safe with me’–that’s intimacy.”

I read “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo”, by @tjenkinsreid, a few months ago and I fell in love with it. The book tells the life story of this golden age era hollywood legend called Evelyn Hugo and everything she went through to get where she wanted. In the middle of this there’s also one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read. While I was reading I felt an urge to illustrate a poster inspired by vintage movie posters (how surprising) and that’s what I came up with! Maybe I get back to it in the future to make it a little better. If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it. It’s really amazing.
