I’m probably super late to this.

I bought the SPQR-ball from a site that no longer exists. Maybe that’s why you can’t find it. It was a long time ago when I bought it, and when I did, it took me 3 months to get it for some reason.

I’m not interested in selling it either since, to tell you the truth, some bugs built a nest in the brush of its helmet (I removed them and cleaned the plush so it’s ok now). I wouldn’t be comfortable giving that to someone knowing that happened.

The Decline and Fall of the Lana Empire

I’ve been gone for a really long time. 

I have this habit of joining online communities and then leaving for long periods of time, and most of the time, I don’t return. It just seemed way more fun when I had a group to talk to. They have their own lives now, and I guess I have mine. 

I feel out of place and out of touch. I just feel like I’m talking to strangers rather than friends. I want to make new friends in real life. I know this feeling from joining so many groups and leaving. Inevitably I will probably join another fandom only to leave it again when I’m not as interested in it.

I’m just way too busy or too lazy to really keep up this blog. Mostly the latter. I’ve been focusing more on my Youtube channel, where I do ASMR videos (sometimes Latin-related). Yes, I’m still studying Latin, and I do still want to be a teacher. I will keep the blog up since it holds a lot of memories from when I was younger.

I’m not sure when I’ll be back or if I’ll be back.

Everything about this is so fucking funny. The song. The chubby dances. The way he just gets fucking KIDNAPPED. The presentation of the guy in the white shirt in the picture when he returns. This is my favorite post.

I also appreciated how the second rescuer’s attempt at helping the first pick up the Pikachu was to just (try to) pick up both of them.

latin professor tried to explain the difference between ille/illa/illud and iste/ista/istud by saying “If you say ‘illum’ you mean ‘that man’, but if you say ‘istum’ you mean that motherfucker’ before gasping, covering his mouth, and whispering “I forgot I can’t say that that until I get tenure”

Latinists, what do you tell people when they ask you “what are you going to do with Latin?” or “people still study Latin?”

I’m not good at defending my interest, so give me an arsenal of reasons to keep liking Latin I guess ^^
