Spoiler alert: You will never reach a place in life in which you experience constant happiness or never experience challenges. What you can achieve is learning to find joy in as many moments as possible, fully embracing the good when it graces your life, and navigating the challenges life throws your way with greater ease. It all has its place; it all contains a blessing. Beauty can be found in every season of life.

One of the most difficult choices when packing to travel: deciding which books to take. Specifically having to decide whether a half-finished book is worth carting to the train knowing you will probably finish it on the journey there and then have to lug it around with you and back. Are you travelling? What books did you decide on? Maybe a few small ones, a variety pack of fictions, or just one big epic to sink into?  In the end I went for Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (half-finished), A Terrible Country (half-finished) and Astral Season, Beastly Season (excited to start). Since I arrived I’ve already acquired The Gallows Pole from my parents’ bookshelf of course…
