there was something about manhattan that she loved, whether it was the nonstop sound of the traffic, the sidewalks that were always filled with people, bright lights that never faded; it was truly the city that never slept. it was also the perfect place to be distracted, a small argument between her and blair had drove her out of their place and onto fifth avenue. not that she minded, retail therapy was always much needed. but out of nowhere a voice pulled her out of her head and into reality, a voice she’d recognize anywhere without even having to turn around. it was a voice that she had loved, and probably still did even if she didn’t want to admit it. it was a voice she would leave everyone behind for, just to be with him, if only he had let her. the phrase itself caused released butterflies into her stomach. shehated that he could so easily pull her in with just two simple words ( not that she’d ever actually make it seem that way ). she exhaled before turning to face him, her eyes meeting his, and crossed her arms.
