The right wing moralists always say parent’s rights and not children’s rights because children’s rights do not matter to them. Foremost, a child’s right to survival. They’ve voted against ending child marriage in the US. They’ve voted against free lunch. They’ve voted against any gun control measures. They’ve voted against welfare. They’ve voted against socialized medicine. They’ve voted against furthering restrictions on child labor. If there is a pro-child stance, they will vote the opposite every time.
