Would you be okay if someone finished / colored one of your sketches and posted it, while giving you clear and visible credit for the sketch ofc? One of ur sketches / doodles really caught my eye

Of course, feel free to edit, color, ink, whatever you like with any of my art, credit is always appreciated. I enjoy seeing people making things.

How do you balance your work and comic?

My comic is the bulk of my work nowadays, so it's pretty easy haha... If I have any other gigs simultaneously it's just a matter of not taking on too much to handle and prioritizing clients deadlines. The comic is a delight to get to work on, so when I'm finished with tasks, it becomes my wind down treat for the night. I'm always interested in working on the thing that I'm not supposed to be working on, so I just make those things a reward for myself, it seems to work pretty well.

how old are the main characters in deathsitter?

Their ages are stated in the comic, so you can find the answer there

Do you have any tips for people who want to start their own comic? What are some things you wish you knew before starting?

I don't know if I'll have legitimately good advice until DeathSitter is done, only because I'm constantly learning and changing my process as the chapters come- Something that really has come in handy is having a plan, I started lots of webcomics through the years and would quit early on because I jumped in too fast with no direction. DeathSitter is going to get done because I took the time to plan the story. I haven't stuck to the original script by any means, but the ending is how I wrote it, so the story is on the same trajectory thankfully. There's lots of things I would have changed with hindsight, I thought I came in prepared and I still dropped the ball (and will continue to drop the ball) in tons of ways I couldn't predict, but I'm just happy I've had the opportunity to be consistent and push through. So I guess my advice is maybe be prepared to make mistakes and be unhappy with stuff sometimes, but maybe find a way to push through anyway (maybe not, every situation is different so I can't even confidently give that piece of advice smh) ? I think it's really sad when a webcomic dies or is revamped 5 times and never goes anywhere (and I'm super guilty of it too, I do make myself sad in that way lol)

Thank you for the question, that might not have answered it well but those are my current thoughts!

Hello!! Would you mind if I'll (or someone in general) take your comic for translation and post it? (With every link to original comic and your social media ofc)

Avatar

Yes! The answer to people wanting to translate the comic is always yes as long as there is links to the original and credits! Thank you!

if it's ok to ask,,,,, what ever happened to "F!?k me"?

Avatar

It's fine to ask! DeathSitter has just taken up so much of my time, and since F!?k Me was declined for ad revenue on webtoon, I couldn't justify dividing my time to make it right away. I have a few ideas on how to make it work, but as it stands it's on an indefinite hiatus until I can figure it out!

Hey, thank you!!

Happy New Years to you as well! There will be lot's more DeathSitter in 2024, worry not, and I'm really looking forward to sharing more with everyone. We are inching closer to some story stuff I've been sitting on forever, so it should be good~

When do you plan to return with more chapters of DearhSitter? btw I love your art and drawing style:3

Thank you so much! DeathSitter is actually updating again, there's new pages up on my Patreon ! It will be slowly coming to webtoon, I'll be updating every other week for a bit instead of every week just to let myself catch back up with out rushing the art too much lol

Sorry if someone asked this before, but what mediums do you use when you do your traditional art (mainly the later chapters of Deathsitter)? Do you typically add anything digitally after you draw it out? Everything about it is just so pleasing to look at!

(so many apologies for taking such a long time to answer, I was out of the country and just now getting a chance back home to look at some messages) So, for DeathSitter chpt6 and intermission 2, I've been experimenting with a number of traditional mediums-mostly because I have no clue what I'm doing and I need to learn lots of things fast- But most consistently, I've used mainly acrylic paint, liquitex brand. I've been most recently laying panels out on hot press watercolor paper with pencil, and sometimes I ink things with black deleter ink or microns (I'm unsure yet if I like painting right on top of my sketches or inking first). After I battle the painting process, I scan the panels and digitally touch them up with clip studio. The scanner isn't able to pick up really bright pinks or fluorescents, so I always have to color correct the scans (I try to match the painting by messing with the tone curve and levels, and then I try to punch it up to something I feel looks more vibrant and interesting). I paint out any fuzz or eraser markings left on the painting, and then I correct bigger mistakes like wonky looking faces or missed details and inconsistencies I'm lucky enough to catch. I'm also not skilled enough yet to make my traditional work look crisp and sharp in focus areas, so I use digital ink to sharpen areas that blur a little too much for my taste. I'm still learning, so I'm sure my production pipeline will continue to change as the comic goes, but for now, that's the general idea! I hope that helps and answers your question, sorry again for the late <3
