I was thinking of going as amethyst this year, & I wanted to know is there anyway to make them "shinier" could I add some clear nail polish to it?
Adding a clear coat will make them shinier, but will also change how the light refracts inside the gem. Depends on what type of look you prefer I guess, but I personally feel that it looks better (especially in photos) to not give it a clear coat. The main issue is that a clear coat will make the facets of the gem look pretty much invisible.

Hey guys sorry about the lack of updates lately! Lots of stuff has happened that has set me back in terms of getting the other gems up and for sale but I'm starting to get back on track. Opal, Lapis, and Yellow/Blue Pearl are all nearing completion and will be available for pre-order next week!
Test versions of Lapis, Opal, and Sardonyx! Final appearances will differ (especially Sardonyx) but I’m pretty happy with the direction these are going in. Lapis will be available without the gold as well.
Turns out E-6000 does not yield consistently good looking results for attaching the metallic backs to transparent gems, so I had to strip the backs off most of them and I’m now redoing it with XTC-3D which looks much more promising. Most orders are still on schedule to go out this week, but if you have ordered from me and need your gem by a certain date this month or early March, please contact me through Etsy and let me know so we can make absolutely sure that you get it in time!
