"house of leaves" is a fantastic book conceptually and the execution is quite novel and the entire thing is bogged down by being literally more than half dedicated to the thoughts and feelings of the world's single most uninteresting and most charisma deficient misogynist of all time. johnny truant is one of the worst characters in fiction, maybe ever, imo lol. its insane how much of that book is dedicated to him saying that he has a scary feeling as if i could possibly care

if you've ever used the London Underground you might have noticed that it often gets uncomfortably hot. the reason for this is actually that its builders dug too greedily & too deep and as a result the trains are very close to the fires of hell. hope that helps.
