I fiddled with a watercolor style today. Quest came out well, but I’m unsure how to really pull off backgrounds in the style….hmm.
Anyway, I’m very sorry for my lack of activity, I feel very embarrassed but the fact is I’m just very busy these days. I’ll try and fit in updates whenever I can. Thank you for your patience. <3
ask-thaumaturge-pony has always been one of my absolute fave blogs from the day I found it like 2+ years ago. The angels are also one of my fave aspects, aesthetically and thematically. I even got my sister to read some of the comic, and she loved the angels too so she sketched up her version of an angel, which I took and finished up. a-wild-mooshroom-appears gets credit for original idea, angels, and genius. Sketch original goes to my sister sauntervaguelydown and lineart, coloring, and shading all are mine. Yeehaw
(There is a slight nightvale reference in here as well, woops)
Okay so apparently at a community garden we left a plant alone, not knowing if it was a weed or not; it turned out to be chamomile and we harvested it. Do you have any advice and how to make this into tea?
Chamomile tea is usually made from the puffy blooms alone of with the new growth leaves. Sorry this ask is getting answered kinda late, but I’d just dry the buds out and give em a shot. Be sure you know what they are first though!!

yo here’s a useful tip from your fellow art ho cynellis… use google sketchup to create a model of the room/building/town you’re trying to draw… then take a screenshot & use it as a reference! It’s simple & fun!

Sketchup is incredibly helpful. I can’t recommend it enough.
There’s a 3D model warehouse where you can download all kinds of stuff so you don’t have to build everything from scratch.

A PSA to all Paint Tool SAI users about Windows 10
It seems Paint Tool SAI does not like Windows 10 at all, because when I tested it on the beta version of Win10, it wouldn’t run at all. If you use SAI as your main drawing program and wish to continue using it, then I strongly suggest you avoid upgrading to Windows 10 until somebody finds a way to get it to work on there. It’ll be a real bummer to see anybody having to struggle with the loss of SAI because of a Windows upgrade that it’ll refuse to work on.
cryoganix people need your help! I have SAI and upgraded to Windows 10; they both work fine now after some tweaking. So there is a way, you just have to be tech savvy.

Right click on the SAI program itself, then click on Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab, then check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” checkbox and select “Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)”. After that, it’ll run fine.
I’ve tested this on every Windows 10 box with SAI on it that I could find, with 100% success. If it doesn’t, just click on the “ Run compatibility troubleshooter” button at the top of the Compatibility tab, and that’ll get it working.
I’ve been beta testing Windows 10 for a while as well; the only advice I can give is to consult a technical professional before spreading potential misinformation around.
You can fix this very easily. Windows 10 is completely safe for SAI and Krita.
Man, I am on a kick that just doesn’t stop. I still don’t know who or what she is though, and I can’t make a cutiemark until I know what she is. WHO IS SHE. My sister says she looks dangerous though so IDK

I was in a totally artsy mood today but didn’t feel like sketching anything so I dug up an old sketch I’ve had for ages and finally worked it out. This started as a sketch of quest but I wanted to stretch a little bit so I designed a new character! This is Provence Valentine, after the Provence Roses and Valentines day. Frankly most of her deets are up in the air, no talent in mind or backstory or anything. I imagine she’s currently a haute couture model or something but idk. @w@
