This scene brakes my heart. Look how scared and full of fear she is, lost in her own powers and trying to escape from everything and find her sister.
She looks so worried and scared and maybe even confused after Hans shouted her name. The one thing she had to say is, “Just take care of my sister,” She cares about her sister so much, but has no idea what to do anymore. She realizes that running away from her own fears and power isn’t going to help.
Then she realizes that she had hurt her little sister, realizing that her sister is dead because of her, the one thing she feared the most, something that she tried not to do. The look on her face is heartbreaking, she backs away, her face full of fear and sadness, her eyes widen and so does her mouth, the only word she could have said was, “No…” Then she collapsed to the ground, crying her eyes out, she had fully given up on everything. When Hans tried to kill her, she was in her own miserable world, not even hearing his footsteps.
Suddenly she looked up and see’s a hand, quickly knowing who it is. She slowly looks up and see’s her younger sister, Anna. Cold and frozen. The way her eyes widen and the way she screams when she see’s Anna like that, breaks my heart even more. ;-;
"Trying to escape everything and find her sister" Not what she's doing at all. She's been told Anna never came home. What Elsa is actually doing is trying to escape Arendelle. Her mentality is "I am the storm. The further away I am, the safer everyone will be."
She tells Hans to "take care of Anna" because she wants to leave everything behind, not because "she doesn't know what to do anymore". She is still very determined to run from her problems. That's why Hans drops the bomb that Anna is dead because that's the only way to get Elsa to stop and drop her guard.
