“Die, you son of a whore!! Die!!” shouted Israeli men at a seriously wounded Palestinian child, who was left to die while Israeli police stood around him doing nothing. One of the officers repeatedly pushed the boy down with his foot, whenever he tried to sit up.

While the child was bleeding to death, Israelis surrounded him, shouting at him in a mix of Arabic and Hebrew, “Die, you son of a whore!”, “Die, you son of the biggest whore!”, and telling the police to “Do him a favor, and shoot him in the head!”

The officers did not shoot him, but left him bleeding with head injuries, broken legs and other serious injuries on the ground. The boy was able to raise his head a few times, but the police officers kicked him back down until he bled to death.

The slain Palestinian child has been identified as Hasan Khaled Manasra, 15 years of age, while his cousin Ahmad Saleh Manasra, 13, suffered a serious injury. They are both from Beit Hanina, in Jerusalem.

if lebanon wasn’t the size of connecticut with a population of 5 million people and was not facing ISIS from the east and israel from the south, wasn’t still adjusting to nearly half a million palestinian refugees from decades ago, and did not have a very complicated and historically tense relationship with syria, then yes, it would be shameful for lebanon to not be welcoming to syrians. but what about the countries in the west that are more than stable and economically fit to re-settle syrian refugees? australia has like 3.5 people last time i checked and one of the lowest population densities in the world. lebanon is one of the last countries that should be taking in these refugees. 

are you fucking kidding me? this is so disgusting and distasteful. first of all, it’s always shameful to not welcome refugees. half of your rant attempts to absolve the lebanese of the guilt they (should) feel when it comes to the treatment of syrian refugees and the other half of your rant points to the west to exonerate lebanon of any responsibility.

second of all, how dare you try to justify the racism and violence against syrian refugees in lebanon?! “the lebanese are xenophobic and racist, BUT FOR A REASON!” so it’s not irrational that a 5-year-old syrian refugee boy was raped, killed, and left in a dumpster? it’s not irrational that the people of a lebanese village burned and looted the tents of hundreds of syrian refugees? it’s not irrational that syrian refugee children are forced to face the trauma of racist bullying in schools? it’s not irrational that syrian refugees have become the biggest target for violence in lebanon? 

fuck your racist, xenophobic apologia. fuck you. 

What the actual fuck? Lebanon shares borders with Syria, it’s one of the closest countries to it, it’s fucking expected to help all the refugees. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT THE SYRIANS TO GET TO AUSTRALIA? yeah no problem they’ll just catch the next flight there and proudly present all their visa’s to the government! Excellent thinking!
