Hello, I'm Grim. I'm a disabled gay transgender man and I depend on donations and gifts for anything and everything. My entire disability check goes to rent, and I'm lucky I have food stamps and meals on wheels or food would be a bigger concern. I do need money to restock the wood from the winter, and pain management supplies. Around 150 for the month for both. I could also really use the food ingredients on the needs list, I otherwise can't afford them in my pantry at the moment. I also need the picture frames, I've had two fall off the wall and break and replacements are needed.

Im also trying to get the outdoor pantry, it's been something I've wanted since we moved in last year. I also have wheels I'll need for it, I won't be able to pick it up and move it so I'll have to built the two together. It's significantly cheaper to buy the castors separately.

Not sure if anyone’s familiar with Teatro Lope de Vaga’s production of Les Miserables (Los Miserables) that was in Madrid in 2011. But I cannot recommend it enough. It’s professionally filmed and available on Youtube (it is in Spanish, but like…it’s really good…so)
I’ve been watching it today, and one of the things I adore about it is how their not afraid to let actors touch

I grew old, and you became what you always wanted; A boy and a ghost story.
from my upcoming wip- about a closeted trans boy named Lea, who is forced by his family to become a faith healer. Set in the Northern Philippines on the end of Spanish colonialism and the beginning of the American occupation.
Lea (red skirt) can cry tears that can heal any illness, and he met Pablo (tall guy with glasses) who is an errand boy, who used to work at the fish market selling herbs- and Pablo wondered why Lea was always showing up to his stall looking beat up and buying kilos and kilos of onions.
Lea is autistic and a closeted trans guy, and he is perpetually trapped by his extended family in a "disappointment's room."
Lea's family wants to take advantage of his miracle, and they always make him cry- at first, like most abuse, It starts tame, by making him chop onions all the time and he cries and cries and they collect his tears and sell it in bottles.
Oh, and Pablo has like 100 jobs. He is a cartoonist and an orphan, saving every penny he has to go to uni, so that maybe he can one day illustrate for newspapers.
I always thought of Pablo as kind of like. A punk kid. Well, as punk as a filipino boy from the north during the 1900s can be. Has a lot of scrapes on his knees, dresses in hand-me-downs with his dad's black leather belt. glasses taped together, Plays the bandurria-
meanwhile Lea grew up in a mestizo (filipino-chinese) household. Family used to be very wealthy but has fallen onto hard times. Lea has little dreams and aspirations, but she used to be a painter with a lot of potential- but she is defeated when she cannot be her true self.
Hence, Pablo and Lea are two boys who never got to be boys.

How did you figure out your chronology?
I started by following the Baring-Gould chronology, but then realized that he's decided Watson gets married 3 times. I wanted to figure out a version where Watson only marries once, to Mary Morstan, so I sorted the stories by references to his marriage and engagement. Sometimes Watson gives a date for the stories, which I tried to honor as much as possible, but he's not very reliable (he literally places one story during the time that Holmes is supposed to be dead!) so I didn't feel too bad ignoring the dates when it fit my purposes.
And then I tried to place the stories in a framework that built up their relationship. Watson's hero worship slowly changes to something more domestic and familiar. Holmes's need to cultivate mystery and said hero worship changes to teasing Watson and expecting (and loving) to be teased in response. There's also an arc of Holmes going from an eager-to-impress young man who doesn't feel the weight of his cases very deeply - a Holmes who lives outside the world as an observer, rather than in it - to a man more set in his habits, more eccentric, and more affected by the world (references to his cocaine use and eventual weaning off of it were helpful here). I wanted to explore how loving Watson would bring him into the world, and the weight that comes with that!
