It was late evening as Itachi walked up the path that led to his and Izumi's home after being away on a mission for a few days to take down some rogue ninjas that were terrorizing a small village, as The Uchiha arrived at the front door he slid the door open then stepped inside while telling his wife and daughter that he was home. " I'm home." he called out in an indoor voice and not long after, he spotted Nishiki running towards him and then stretching her arms out to him. "Hey." Itachi said with a warm smile as he kneeled down to pick her up and carry his daughter in his arms while he searched around the house to find Izumi.

It was late evening as Itachi sat at the entrance of the cave where he and Taka were currently keeping shelter in order to stay out of the Akatsuki and Konoha's radar, as the older Uchiha waited for his younger brother to return he noticed that his eyes were beginning to grow heavy and not long after he drifted off to sleep.

After some time had passed his ears picked up on the sound of movement coming from outside the cave, normally Itachi would be on high alert and already have his kunai in his hand prepared to attack whoever was outside but since he recognized the voices of his younger brother and the other members of Taka he put the kunai away and was ready to greet his younger brother and his companions back, but once Itachi took a step outside he wasn't long noticing the blood dripping down the younger Uchiha's face and knew that the group must have had some confrontation with either the Akatsuki or the hidden leaf village because on how tired everyone seemed to be. But when Itachi took a step towards Sasuke and placed a hand on his younger brother's shoulder to get a better look at his eyes, he felt him slap his hand away from getting any closer to the younger Uchiha.

"Sasuke…" Itachi spoke silently then closed his eyes before stepping back to give his younger brother some space and realized that perhaps he overstepped his boundary knowing that the two were still getting used to having each other back in their lives.

Itachi asked while his attention drifted away from Sasuke so he could think of something embarrassing that had happened to him in the past. "Well…there was this one time…" the older Uchiha began to say but paused wondering if he should tell his younger about the time he had to flirt with some older women in order to get intel for a mission while he was still a member of the Akatsuki. " I had to flirt with some older women to gather intel for the Akatsuki…" he spoke while quickly turning away to hide the blush that was beginning to make his cheeks turn bright red.

It was late evening as Itachi stood at the kitchen counter waiting for the kettle to boil so he could make himself a cup of tea before going out and sitting on the deck to get some fresh air, while the Uchiha waited he suddenly picked up on the sound of knocks coming from the front door, deciding to take the kettle off the stove before leaving the room he turned the element off then placed the half boiled water on a cool burner then made his way to the front door, as Itachi unlocked and slid the door open he was surprised to see the legendary sannin on his doorstep, but as Itachi took a better close at Jiraiya's face he could tell something seemed wrong and before the Uchiha could ask the Sannin what was wrong, Itachi suddenly heard him say not to panic. "Panic?" Itachi asked with a questioning yet concerned tone of voice. "About…what?"

It was early morning as Itachi sat quietly at the entrance of the cave where he and Taka stayed for the night to get some rest before they traveled to the next smallest village to gather up some supplies, slowly standing up from his spot at the exit of the cave, Itachi took a glance at the sleeping form of his younger brother before leaving the shelter to take a look around the area to see if he could find a small stream of water to splash some water on his face to wake himself up a little more before Sasuke and the others woke up for the day.

It didn't take Itachi long to come across a small stream of water and once he splashed the water onto his face, he stood back onto his feet and was about to make his way back to his younger brother until his ears picked up on the sound of leaves rustling in the grass and the sound of a familiar voice saying that he looked pretty good for someone who was supposed to be dead.

Recognizing the voice now coming from behind, Itachi activated his sharingan before turning to look at the masked Akatsuki member behind him. "Tobi…" he said in a low tone to show Tobi that he wasn't pleased to see him so close to where he and Sasuke were currently keeping shelter.

It was late evening as Itachi sat at the entrance of the cave where he and Sasuke were keeping cover from a rain storm that they managed to get caught in while they separated from Taka to gather some supplies in a small nearby village, during the time he was gathering supplies, the older Uchiha began to hear the citizens of the small village begin to ask the people beside them if they heard the rumors that were spreading around the land of fire. At first, Itachi thought that the rumor might be about another death of an Akatsuki member, but as the two women passed him, he heard them say in a saddening voice that it was too bad about the hidden leaf that was destroyed during the Akatsuki's attack. And most of its villagers were killed. Once the shock of hearing about the village had faded, the older Uchiha returned to the location where he was to meet back up with Sasuke and the other members of taka.

Once the Uchiha arrived back at the meet-up point, Itachi approached Suigetsu and Juugo to ask them if they would travel to the land of fire to see if the rumors he heard were true. Because he knew he couldn't be seen anywhere near the village, since he was still a rogue ninja and thought to be dead still by most, and once the two left to go see if Konoha was truly destroyed his ears picked up on Sasuke telling him that it wasn't his fault.

Hearing his younger brother's words, Itachi turned his attention away from the entrance of the cave and onto his younger brother for a moment to show his younger brother a light smile before the sound of the rain picking up took his attention away from Sasuke and back to the grassy field that surrounded their cover from the rain.

“so who died?”

It was early morning as Itachi walked the corridors of the Hokage mansion to tell the third Hokage and the councilors about the death of Shisui, as the Uchiha passed through another hallway of the building he spotted Hayate coming towards his direction, and as he passed the other his ears picked up on the other asking him who died. Slowly Itachi paused from continuing his way to the meeting room to tell Hayate that it was Shisui who passed the previous night. "It…was Shisui." he responded with a saddened expression appearing on his face and before the other could ask for details about his cousin's death he continued to make his way where Hiruzen and the other council members were waiting for him to report to them.

Itachi couldn't help but drift his eyes away from Shisui when he heard him ask how long he planned to hide the wound he received while the two were on a mission from Hiruzen to take down some rogue ninjas that were holding a small village hostage until they got what they were demanding from the five great nations.

Once Itachi finished off the rogue ninjas on his side, he decided that it would be best to release the prisoners that way the rogue ninjas wouldn't be able to use any of the hostages as a shield against them. But just as the younger Uchiha was releasing the last prisoner he suddenly noticed with the corner of his eye that the last hostage had a concealed weapon and before Itachi had a chance to move out of the way, the enemy managed to stab him lightly in the side.

Before the rogue ninja had a chance to escape Itachi appeared behind him and was able to knock him out cold. Knowing that Shisui should be finishing up with his battle as well, he kneeled down beside the man and tied his wrists together that way if he were to wake up he wouldn't become a threat to Shisui and himself later. But just as Itachi was about to stand back up onto his feet he suddenly felt a sharp pain coming from the wound but decided against telling Shisui because he thought it be best to get the rogue ninjas into custody before seeking medical attention.

But after a short amount of distance from the village, Itachi stopped walking and then leaned himself against the nearest tree trunk with his hand against the wound to stop any more blood from escaping from it. And before the younger Uchiha had a chance to push himself away from the tree he heard Shisui ask him how long he planned to hide the wound he received from the mission. With his eyes drifting away from Shisui he released a pained sigh and told his cousin that he planned on telling him once they brought their captives into custody." I…planned on telling you once we arrived back at the village." the younger Uchiha answered with an aplogetetic expression appearing on his face." I thought… it be better to get them back to the village… and hand them over to the intergation department…before they had a chance to wake up and try to escape."
