update on this blog!

hey guys! getting an ask on here for the first time in MONTHS reminds me that this blog still exists, so i just wanted to give a heads up/update for anyone who was wondering about it, because i don’t want to leave anyone in the dark. i remember times in like, 2014, where i’d get dozens of asks a day on this blog, so it’s interesting that it’s like... a ghost town now lol.

i don’t really identify as pansexual any more (nothing happened and i’m not anti-pan now or anything, i just tend to refer to myself as bi now!) so i haven’t had as much of an interest in keeping this blog updated, plus i started university back in 2016 and my life just got pretty busy. that being said, i still have nothing but love and respect for the people who follow this blog, and whatever people are currently going by, i hope folks are having a good time and that everyone is staying safe!

just based on not really identifying as pansexual any more and my life being a lot busier nowadays, i don’t really see myself updating this blog any more, though i’m still always happy to publish submissions and stuff. i just wanted to let people know that so that folks aren’t following and expecting content that may not come. but i still have fond memories of running this blog and i hope everyone else does too!!

i hope everyone is having a nice autumn and is staying safe! uhhhh wear a mask, stay at home if you can, if you like magical schools and lesbian bards and mysterious intrigues listen to trials & trebuchets, and happy canadian thanksgiving!

Hi! I hear a lot of people say that pan people always care more about personality over looks. I do care more about personality but I also think physical attraction is a factor. Gender isn't a problem. Am I still valid? Sorry if this doesn't make sense, and thank you!

The idea that pansexuals care more about personality than looks is a myth that is often used to demonize other sexualities as “shallow”; in actuality, pansexuals are a broad group of people like any other sexuality. The group comprises thousands of people, all with different combinations of preferences; on average, pansexuals are no more or less likely to prefer people’s personalities than any other sexuality group. You are valid in your sexuality regardless of whether your preferences tend to focus more on appearance, personality, or a mix thereof.

The primary difference between pansexuals and other groups is that pansexuals tend to fold their wings vertically up over their backs, whereas others tend to hold their wings in a tent-like fashion that hides the abdomen. Besides resting wing position, pansexuals tend to have long, thin antenna, and other sexualities may have shorter, girthier antenna.

Fact: Unlike traditional zodiac signs, pansexuals are granted the powers of different classes on the basis of their birthdate. For example, pansexuals born between April 18 and May 13 are paladins, those born between August 10 and September 16 are rogues, and those born between December 17 and January 20 are wizards. However, as pansexuals level up every year on their birthday, they are welcome to multiclass into as many classes as they choose.

So, I' working on a series of embroidered 8x10 pride flags as mythical creatures. And I've got the usual suspects: Gay Unicorn, Ace Dragon, Aro Griffin, Trans Pegasus (because you need wings to fly over haters and a glorious mane) I'm stuck on Pansexual. I was wondering does the pan community have a mythical creature that ya'll have adopted? Or do I go with satyr and embrace the pun completely of a Pan in Pan colors?

A pan satyr sounds wonderful!

Fact: During Pride Month, pansexuals receive up to a 200% boost in their usual powers. For example, a pansexual who is typically able to telekinetically levitate five pounds of weight may now be able to levitate up to fifteen pounds, and pansexuals who specialize in healing magics may be able to heal wounded allies more than twice as quickly.

As a woman who struggled with her sexuality all her life until very recently (in terms of figuring it out, I’m still struggling because of homophobia lol), I just want questioning women to know that if you’ve been pondering on it for a long, long, long ass time, and it causes you genuine pain and distress when you tell yourself “I’m not bi/a lesbian”, I’m pretty sure you’re not straight.

A huge part of homophobic manipulation against gay women, is to convince them that their love for women is lesser than their love for men (even when we don’t genuinely have it in the case of lesbians), it’s to find every possible way as to why this or that discounts what is obvious attraction to other women.

If you feel within yourself the words “I want to be bi” or “I want to be a lesbian”; I’m pretty sure you are.

How many straight women do you know that hold enough respect for gay women’s identities that they’re willing to suffer in confusion and loneliness for years?

Which straight woman would want to be bi/a lesbian THAT badly that it causes her genuine pain to think she’s not really one? It’s not like being gay grants us any benefits that straight women would DIE for. Literally the only thing in it for any woman is the opportunity to be with women, so if you’re in pain for thinking you’re straight, you’re in pain because you think you’ll never be able to love and be with other women.

Out bi and lesbian women who’re usually sure of their identities and who live their lives as gay women do also question whether they’re “faking” it or not, and it causes us tremendous distress to feel that maybe we’re fakes! Which is clearly something you share with us.

Those aren’t straight feelings. Stop picking yourself apart so much. The only requirement to be a gay woman is to want to be with women.

Welcome home, my loves.

Out of all my posts that could’ve ended up being reblogged by TERFs…

Anyway, REGARDLESS of your gender assignment at birth, this goes for you. If you’re a trans woman, or you’re thinking you may be a trans woman. Everything I said above applies to you too.

Some girls realize that they’re girls when they realize that the way they love girls is not how men do it, and that is a beautiful, amazing thing.

Some girls have already realized and accepted that they are girls, but comp het is 100% inflicted upon trans women too. Being bi or a lesbian already makes cis women feel like Not Real Women, so it can be so hard for trans women to realize that they may not be straight, when society teaches us that, in its terms, being a woman is intrinsically tied to being exclusively attracted to men and any deviation from that puts you in, at best, a gray area.

If you’re seeing yourself in lesbian/bi women’s literature much more than you ever would in straight or bi men’s, that means something. If you project yourself on gay women characters, it means something.

If you feel heartbroken thinking that you want to be with women in the way women are with other women, but that you can’t be, that’s a sign that you actually CAN be and ARE.

None of these feelings are the feelings of a straight woman OR of a man of any sexuality. Thing like these are women’s experiences; trans lesbian/bi women’s experiences.

This is also your home in spite of what some monsters have to say about it, and the rest of us welcome and love you too.

Fact: Many believe that the Pantheon is somewhere in or beneath the Bermuda Triangle, due to the disfunction of all navigational devices used while searching for it. It is currently unknown if the reason so many ships disappear is because they were intruders or if they were accepted into the Pantheon’s gates.

This blog reads like a D&D campaign, and when you add in all the other blogs people have made, it becomes something terrifying. I love it.
