this tour was made for celebrating her musical career, not her personal love life. please let's remember and respect that

I think the reason this is so hard to process is that Taylor's music for the last 5 albums has been dripping in this exploration of a deep, real love that we obviously all felt would last a lifetime and it's hard to accept that sometimes that just isn't how things are meant to be

on the topic of the lucky one and taylor resenting her fame, i feel like it’s worth mentioning that that resentment is probably split amongst the industry, her past self, society in general, and of course the fans a little bit, but more than that i think it comes from the fact that i don’t think she really even knew how famous it was possible to be

in the early 2000’s, social media didn’t really exist, after it did it wasn’t actually popular until several years later, and even now i feel like the role that the internet plays in fame has been STILL growing over the most recent years. unless you decided to become famous within the last 2-5 years i genuinely feel like you couldn’t be prepared for what that would be like because it’s just been so unprecedented

like, there’s no way she didn’t discuss with her family and people in the industry the pros and cons to chasing fame so young. but she had a dream and she accepted the risks…

…except that AFTER it was too late to retract her decision, the risks changed without her knowledge and she had no choice but to just go with it. it’s not anyone’s fault, but i’d resent that a little bit too
