Phew he didn’t hear me.  Bass thought as he slowly and as quietly as possible tried to get a little closer.  The gravel still crunched under him, making him grimace.

The SWN ended up stopping with Bubble and his amphibius companion barely in sight, with no grass or any sort of cover he wasn’t sure what to do.  Should he risk getting closer?  Or try to figure out a better means of going about this?

With a sharp, deep inhale, the Wilybot decided to take a chance and get closer.  After all he didn’t have time to ponder things, this was like a battle and he needed to act on his first thoughts.  Should’ve figured that out first.  He thought as he continued to slowly army crawl towards his target.

At this rate he was sure to be heard, thus he stopped  and looked to the cliffs.  As quietly as he could he made his way closer to them, taking out that chalk for rock climbing and rubbing it on his fingers.  Soon he began to scale the cliffside, managing to reach a ledge and slowly make his way closer.

Now he took out that paper again and would start observing, also hoping to god that Bubble or his friend didn’t hear him.

It was about that time when the Wooper noticed ‘something’ peeking out from the cliffside rocks. It’s hard to see, but it’s noticeable. “Woo!” She said. “Hm? It could be a bird,” said Bubble. A cheeky grin curled on her face. “Aww that’s kinda mean. What if that’s Stanza? She’ll give you a hug whoop if you spray her.” The cheekiness intensified. Bubble couldn’t help but to laugh together. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” he said. “You think you have enough water pressure to squirt from here?” Mumu shook her head. She glanced at the area nearer to the cliffs. “Guess that’s why you wanna try your best huh? I’ll be watching.” The unusually-energetic little one hopped on her feet and began to skip and roll across the terrain. She circled around until her target was in view and then... One spray of water and a whole lot of screaming later, Bubble escorted a drenched Bass back to Shio’s place. The ninja tried to stifle his laughter, but his awkward smile was a dead giveaway. “I... suppose we know what we should train on now,” he said. “Escape routes will definitely be part of the syllabus.” “Sorry about that, buddy,” said Bubble. “I didn’t know it’s Shadowbro’s test. But. Uh. Yeah. Now he knows how to make you a better ninja.”

Oil gave a nod of agreement. Of course no one would want Top to hate and mistrust humans. “It might help if he meets a good human.” Isamu could definitely be that human. “I was just saying that I don’t know if he’ll panic or not. But he’s young enough in AI that I think he could learn it’s okay.”

“All in due time. All in due time...” The same goes for himself too. Shadow’s phone chimed with a message. He picked it up, gave it a quick read and... Face, meet palm. Palm, meet face. “How in the world did Magnet and Star get themselves stuck in a railing? Sorry about that, Oil. My brothers require my assistance. Perhaps it’s time for you to go home too.”

“I don’t know about singing, but he did have a hat! No instrument though.” Plant said with a chuckle. Metal just gave a roll of his eyes and an annoyed grunt. He honestly didn’t care much for Minstrel. “As for the girl…”

“No.” Metal answered. “We were unable to.” However there was a smirk on Plant’s face.

“I think she’s in good hands though.” He gave a few nods before turning back to Isamu. “Oh, I was a gardener for an activity center!” His smile faded. “Ah but… something has recently happened. One of the robots that worked there was murdered and the others were attacked. So the center is closed for now.” Which meant he was jobless again. At least Remedy and the others were safe. That was what was important.

He was drug out of his thoughts by a snort from Metal. “Reploids are not reprogrammable.” He stated. There was a slight pause. “We… We are Reploids. More advance than Robot Masters like the ninja. We cannot simply be reprogrammed. That is why control collars exist.” Boy, did Isamu have a lot to learn about their world.

Isamu nodded as he listened to the stories. “Aww it’s such a shame that a crime happened while you’re there. You mean it’s closed indefinitely? The explanation about Reploids made him raise his brow. “That’s very humanlike! Oh my, my childhood shows are coming true every second. Makes me nervous though: that means robots can fall into the same pitfalls as humans do.” “If people are good, it’s great news. Just, well, I’m in the business long enough to know that not everyone chooses the right path.”

Mun Notice

I have both good news and bad news. As you’ve noticed, I’ve not been on the blogs very much. The primary reason was that I’ve been working on a solo fanfiction named The Golden Quiche.

It’s certainly much, much, much longer than I expected. What’s the good news? I’ll be publishing my professional work Crafting the Sun near the end of Golden Quiche. If not the very end. Finally. After 6 years, which 50% are production delays of various levels. What’s the bad news? It’s very unlikely that I’d have the time or stamina to do both solo writing and RP at the same time. Since writing is my career, I will have no choice but to end my RP blogs. To give an idea of how I work, my work flow goes something like this: Brainstorm plot and worldbuilding. Write about 1500 to 4500 words a day depending on health. Read over it one more time for errors. Have an editor do his editing magic. Reread the whole thing again. For a professional novel, the editing is book-wide and thus sometimes I had to go backwards and add in a pivotal scene. This adds additional work. Yeah. It’s quite a commitment as you can imagine. Will I continue my professional Crafting the Sun world setting? OF COURSE! It’s supposed to be a 3 or 4 part series. Once the first part is published, I should (by theory) start working on the second. Will I continue my Undertale stories? There’s one more bonus story that I want to write after the Golden Quiche. Will I write anything more than two? That, I am not sure. I am really fond of the universe that I’ve written though. So, who knows? What about the Ring of Justice? This, I’m not sure what to do yet. I may get back to it. But, if I really quit tumblr RP I might not want to continue that either. Time is limited. I’ve not reached that point in life yet. So, I’ll finish up any threads that I’ve started. I know it’s not nice to leave everyone hanging. But, please be aware that I may need to concentrate on my professional life from then onward. By no means I’m closing this blog yet. If I made a decision to retire, I will definitely write a farewell post. Have a good day everyone.

Plant couldn’t help but giggle at the old man’s grin. Metal even looked quite amused at it. Of course they would let him treat them. He was a friend of theirs that they respected greatly. But they wanted to pay him this time.

“Oh, that’s right. You know about it all now.” Plant said with a smile. He glanced at Metal before he moved to sit down. “We’ve been to a lot of places! We went to this one place where we met this guy named Minstrel and he was able to get us into a place to get money.

“And there was this place that was the opposite of ours and robots were in charge of the whole place while humans were slaves.”

Metal spoke up. “We met a girl there.” He said. Plant nodded. “She had been hurt…”

“Oh, and we met this wonderful group of siblings and one of them was able to get me a job and set it up so we can visit her friend who does therapy sessions.” Plant seemed very excited about it all. Metal gave a grunt at it.

“Minstrel? As in, he’s named after a travelling singer? I imagined that he had a fancy hat, sings well, and perhaps carry around a string instrument.” That’s what he could remember of that character archetype anyway. The mention of slavery made the man frown a bit. “Oh dear, it’s really just like anime. I’ve always treated robots the same as humans for a reason. They learn from us, and in the end we’re all the same inside.” “Did you manage to save the girl?” “What’s your job now Plant? And hmm, hmm! I really hope the therapy session will help.” Isamu paused for a moment, pondering about something in the past. “Shio once told me that he could take Metal to a specific hospital. Try to reprogram him at a code level. But I advised him against that idea: one may never know if there would be unintended side effects.” “I prefer a person to be their best at a natural pace, if you understand.”

Oil gave a chuckle. “I don’t know, considering how long he’s taking to just leave the house…” It might be a long time until Top was able to go to the teahouse. No offense to Isamu, but he was an old man. “…I’m not even sure if Top is afraid of humans or not.”

“Sooner or later, Little Top needs to learn that not all humans are bad. If not this year, then the next.” “Otherwise it’ll perpetuate the cycle of mistrust that ‘s plunging worlds to ruin. It sounds a bit selfish, but I would be happy if my nephew doesn’t contribute to that dire outcome in his own setting.”

Plant gave a shake of his head. “You’ve done so much for us, I want to repay you somehow. Please take it.” He didn’t want to argue about it, although he knew he couldn’t make Isamu take the money if he didn’t want it.

Metal gave a nod. “I agree with Plant.” He would want to repay the old man too. Even if he wasn’t the one that earned the money in the first place.

“I... I see.” It would be rude to insist otherwise, so in the end Isamu accepted it. His lips curled into a catty smile, saying. “I’ll accept the money this time, but you boys won’t deny me from giving the occasional treat.” Into his pocket they go. “So, anything interesting in your travels? On my end, I met a different version of Snakeman nickname Twinnie. He’s quite a charming fellow! Shio set up the prank good that one.”

Oil paused, wondering if he had made a mistake bringing Top up before he went to answer Shadow’s question. “He’s doing well. Honey talks about his progress all the time.” She was always so proud of him when he made a big step.

“He plays with Pump’s daughter all the time. And he’s actually leaving his room and wandering around the second floor. I think it’s even easier to introduce him to new people. He’s not as afraid of them.” Of course Honey told him that he could become fearful of them quickly if they did something wrong.

“Honey thinks that he might be able to leave the house in a few months.”

Shadow breathed a sigh of relief, smiling. “That’s delightful news. It’s all about the small steps. Maybe one day you and Honey could bring him to Isamu Ojii-san’s Teahouse. He might like the milkshake there.”

Plant gave a few nods as he started to dig up the zenny he had gotten from working. He didn’t have a ton but he wanted to repay the old man somehow. He had been very kind to him and especially Metal.

The red Reploid looked away. “No sir.” He answered quietly. “I am fine though.”

Plant finally moved to place the zenny in Isamu’s hand, although he clearly didn’t know how much he needed to pay. “He’s still being too aggressive.” He explained. His voice went into a low whisper. “We’ve found someone who will be able to help him work through his issues though.”

Metal had help? Hopefully it’s better than what he provided. “That’s good,” he whispered back. “As long he has help.” When he felt the paper in his hands, Isamu realised what the boys were trying to do. He burst into a fluster,“Oh dear! You didn’t need to pay for the drinks. They’re my treat, sons.”

Oil was slightly amused by Shadow’s reaction. It was exactly how Oil reacted. Startled really. However there came that grin and before long Oil was sputtering in attempt to say something.

“We are n-not having any children!” He finally said. His face was quite red now. “I don’t even know if I want one! If Pump ever finds out she wants that many children… besides, she’s practically raising Top already!”

“Oh... right. Top.” His nephew. By extention of the multiverse at least. Shadow grew very concerned as he asked: “How is Little Top nowadays? Is he better?” “I... I didn’t have the opportunity to visit since my sister had a fallout with your brother.”

“Hey, I don’t mind it.  The more the better.”  It would give him time to tend to other things if all were in a little play date.  On the other hand, the thoughts thing was initially startling - however, the cheer and excitement (as well as the mention of Toad) overcame the surprise and replaced it with a massive grin.  “Well, this certainly must be helpful for you!  You can tell anyone what you want without fear of the language barrier!  And ooh, is it nice to hear you got to play with Toad.  He’s such a sweet fellow.  I’m glad you two get along.”

“Uncle Toady is awesome~~~!” More hopping around for Matilda. Scott started to float off into cloud nine too. “Oy vey, I cannae believe I’d ever have a chance t’ be Toady’s friend fer real. And yet it happen, all ‘cause of me sweet fairy here.” “Anyhow, good luck on ya quest! I betchia that yer gonna find this Ice Rock thing soon enough, and we’ll have another member o’ cute foxes.”

Plant gave a laugh as the old man’s sudden excitement. “Yes yes! He’s here too.” He said as he gladly went to grab one of the milkshakes from Isamu. “And this time we can pay for the drinks too. I’ve been trying to get money for us as we travel. You take zenny, right?”

Metal was silent as he reached out to take the second milkshake. He honestly didn’t know what to say to the old man and it appeared Plant had got most of the hellos covered for the both of them.

“Yes, I do take zenny.” Although he might not realise that these curries had serial numbers. He may or may not have issues accepting zennies from a different realm. If the banks won’t accept those, he’d keep them as souvenirs. A win-win situation for him. “Metal, how are you doing? Have you found a job that you like?”

Instantly his eyes stuck on the glaceon form.  That would do the trick.  “I think I know which one.  Considering little Polaris loves adventures…. I think we’re going to go on a quest for a special rock.  Glittering ice crystals are sure to impress - he’ll also stick out from Matilda a bit more by being a different form.”  Even if the coloration was different, two sylveons would likely get confusing.

With that information in hand, he knew what to go for.  Thus, this visit was almost over.  Almost.  He had to pet Matilda and give her some affection as the good ol’ “uncle Twinnie”.   “Full of energy today, huh?  How are you gonna burn it all, Matilda?  Should I send Excalibur and the bunch over for some fun for the day?”

Matilda squeak and squealed in delightful anticipation. More friends! More games! “She be askin’ if Polaris can join too. Oh, and her cousin Mumu’s soooo wanna join in. Say Matilda why donchia tell Uncle Twinnie himself what ya learned?” She excitedly wrapped her feeler around Twinnie’s hand, projecting her thoughts into him. “Yes yes yes! Play! Fun! I’m gonna show them how to play a ring toss! Uncle Ring taught me aaaaall about it. Mumu’s getting really goot at it, even though she had no hands! And Uncle Toady taught me how to play hopscotch!” “...Though I don’t know how to hotscotch massive-sized pokemon now. But! Maybe we’ll have modifying the rules!”

“A small boy, just like all my others have been.  But that’s hardly a bad thing.  He’s adventurous, but seems to be very much entranced with Gemini’s shine.”  It was great to see both so happy, but the question of what to have him become stood out.  “You know, I’m not quite sure.  Little guy’s taken a liking to Gemini, so I figure we can have him become something that would appeal to him so they can get along splendidly.”  The better he could have them get along, the happier everyone would be.  “Any reccomendations for little Polaris on that front?”

“Gemini, huh? Lemmie grab me wallet and show ya the possibilities.” Scott had a photo collection of Eevee-adult form cards. Names included. It had gone a little crumpled from the months, but it’s still legible. “Reckon he be interested in either a Glaceon or a Sylveon. A sylveon is me lovely lass here.” Matilda waved her feeler. “If ya wanna make ye lad be a pink fox, he needs to have at least one Fairy power. If ya be interested in the blue icy fella, ya need to take him to think ‘Ice Rock’ thingy Sis once mentioned to me. She never gave me the exact location though, since Matilda decided to be a fairy since the beginning.”

@titaniumthamnophid [X] Insert massive squeals of joy from dad and daughter here. “OHMIGOSH YA WON A FOOKIN’ JACKPOT THERE, TWINNIE!” Including the caps-lock screams. Matilda yipped in joy and performed popped around, like the happy fox fairy she is. “Is this be a lad or lass?” Scott asked. “And what’s the fella gonna grow up to be?”
