Your favorite Kakashi panel or cover from the manga

Avatar

Thank you for the ask 😊 there's so many panels of Kakashi from the manga that I love actually but if I'd have to choose just one then it's the cover of chapter 16

I love all the details here, it just felt like a sneak peek to Kakashi's private life.. the pictures of his teams, old and new.. Mr Ukki.. the fact that we discovered that he is actually wearing a necklace that we don't usually get to see under his uniform, the Henohenomoheji on the wall, the books, the alarm clock... the weird pipes and how it's wrapped makes me wonder if they broke or were leaking on his head while he was sleeping until he had to wrap them like that lol.

That necklace kind of looks like dog-tag. My headcanon is that Hatake clan members all wear them. That's why we don't see other ninjas with them.

i am trying to find a image of the outside of kakashi’s window to see what textures i should use for jōnin housing, and i am not finding it but i did find this. look. look

Image

i have so much to say. firstly, everyone wears their shoes in kakashi’s apartment, kakashi wears his shoes in kakashi’s apartment. i think there is an absolutely and entirely unused shoe rack. there, that blue vertical cubby thing next to the door. it has at least seven slots and there’s not a single set of shoes in there!

there have probably NEVER been a set of shoes in there. no respect for Kakashi’s living space allowed.

secondly, if i am correct, the caligraphy on that wall just says shinobi. it’s like. this is really funny to me. imagine just having ur job title in caligraphy hung up on the wall. a little like having this hung up on ur wall

u feel me? did he pick that out himself. did it come with the apartment (jōnin standard housing…obsessed). what about that weird abstract art behind sasuke in the front area, the one that kinda reminds me of the inside of Jiraiya’s frog jutsu. did kakashi hang that up in his own room. did he see that and go “yeah, this is something I want to wake up and look at every morning that I’m back in Konoha”

also. skjghsdkgjhsdkgjhsdgkjhsdgkjshdgkshdgdsg. hello to mr ukki on the window sill. and hello to kakashi’s shuriken blanket. that’s so cute. what the hell is his interior design sense. it seems like.

if everything is put together. it seems like…well, as kate said, pinterest shinobi…

also sidenote he takes off his shoes even when hes just poking around his students homes w/ the hokage

so its Just his own apartment that gets this disrespect. when i told kate abt this they pointed out “well, that’s probably because kakashi has no ownership of his own space and feels transient always but he respects the space of others send tweet” which is so true, so true.

(it should be noted that in the manga his home is a lil more cluttered)

I rewatched this scene and took screenshots (exterior is two screenshots stitched together). It’s not clear which window is Kakashi’s.

I’d also like to point out the empty picture frame, the small locker, the hanger with something plaid, the array of notes pinned everywhere, and the pathetic little plant.

wow, thank you for the additional information + photos, + I appreciate the exterior image as well!!

In the Book of Wind manga scenes and its anime adaption (Ep. 469 of Naruto Shippuden), we also get to see Kakashi’s bathroom and what appears to be an entirely different building exterior! Based on both the exterior shot and how much more put together it is, it looks to be another place Kakashi has lived (or stayed). It has a walk-in shower and marble countertops! The only interior shot we get outside of the bathroom is of Kakashi’s camera, placed beneath his window.

(Not pictured: There is also a washer and dryer behind Kakashi in one of the shots where he is facing the mirror.)

And in Naruto Shippuden Ep. 361, Kakashi’s apartment has YET ANOTHER exterior. This time with external corridors and balconies. But the interior is exactly the same. Do all jonin apartments have the same layout? The building shapes are so different! (I lean towards this last design as the one that makes the most sense.)

Flat and bed are a bit more spacy in manga.

Kakashi's "anonymous" review of the Icha Icha books from the 2nd official Naruto databook.

"all the important things I had forgotten as I grew up".

Despite being "surprisingly domestic" and "full of passion on the inside" like Kishimoto described him in the databooks.

Kakashi doesn't think that he deserves these things because everyone he cared about died and he blames himself for it all, how can he get close to anyone when everything he touches dies because of him? so he spent years pushing people away starting from Sakumo's death when he was just a child, his only goal was to protect his people and village and not let what happened to the people he lost happens to anyone else. So Icha Icha is so important to him because it's the only thing that makes him feel and experience the things he denied himself through the characters of the story.

That’s really good scene, cause Kakashi is emotionally opening up to her. It’s really surprisingly cause Kakashi never shows that much vulnerability to anyone in canon (maybe with Obito but even that, was to convince him to change sides in war).

With Yūgao, he willingly opened up just because he felt like it. I wonder what history those two had in ANBU for Kakashi to trust her so much.

Gai, Shizune, and Asuma talking shit about Kakashi is my favorite part of the Lost Tower movie, other than when Choza and Shibi literally said “square up bitch” to a giant puppet.

FUN FACT: episode 101 where team 7 were trying to see Kakashi's face, is actually canon not a filler. It was originally a special manga chapter published with the first official Data book.

I always see people referring to this episode as the best filler in Naruto but it is canon and I love it.
