I just had a bunch of posts I had shared from the blackout pop up on my memories. We were insane then. We need Taylor back on here.

I was supposed to buy Taylor Swift tickets today, but instead I sat with this view on my phone from 10am-2:30pm just to finally get in and have all the tickets be gone at the show I have a code for. Here's to hoping tomorrow goes better.

On the bright side I have all of the 6th graders rooting & praying for me to get tickets! One girl said her brother got the day off to go hunting once, so I should get the day off for this. Another girl said she prayed last night that I would get a presale code. A bunch of boys kept periodically asking if I had the tickets yet and then told me I just needed to sing onstage with Taylor instead. They all understand my NEED for these tickets. I have to get them so I don't let these kids down! They can't see me fail! 😂

16 years ago I was 11 and in 5th grade. I had just discovered Hannah Montana, but then my mom played me a cd called "Taylor Swift" written by a girl who was only 5 years older than me. She was brand new and had some really great songs, I loved her songs "Tim McGraw," "Teardrops on my Guitar," "Picture to Burn," & "Our Song." However, I was Hannah Montana crazy & I listened to those songs more often at the time. Taylor's cd always stayed close to me though and it kind of became mine & not my mom's as the years went on.

The summer before high school "You Belong with Me" from Fearless was so popular. I went to cheer camp and we listened to it over and over. After that I got the cd and learned more songs! I vividly remember scream singing "Fifteen" in the backseat of my dad's truck with my best friend. We changed the lyrics to 14 so it fit us even though we couldn't relate to the song yet.

When Speak Now came out Grace & I would sing Back to December on my karaoke machine. I started wanting to learn more and more about her because so many people at school were talking about her now and it wasn't just me listening to her music anymore.

Once Red came out my senior year I was completely obsessed with her music. I knew all her songs. I was completely over Miley Cyrus, so I focused on Taylor. I watched the album announcement. I was able to watch her on Good Morning America. I asked for so much merch from her store for Christmas that year. I wanted tickets to her Red tour for a graduation present. We dressed up & everything because I heard that's how you got to meet her.

By the 1989 era I had a Tumblr fan account and she followed me on there and liked a post. I was certain she wanted to meet me at her concert. I dressed up even more at the concert, with lights on me & everything.

Ever since then I continue to support Taylor. She has an amazing heart. She is a lyrical genius and writes all her songs. She has grown so much over the years. I love that her songs tell stories. Many of them are personal stories, but people can also adapt them to their own lives and percieve them in different ways. She talks about a variety of different topics and emotions and she has explored so many genres. Through it all she has stayed grounded. I love that I've gotten to grow up along side her for 16 years. As she has matured so have I and so has her music.

People used to tell me that her music is just a phase, but after 16 years I don't think anyone can say that anymore. I listen to her music when I'm said, angry, scared, loney, happy, excited, or anything in between. During all my health issues listening to her songs has helped me relax and for that I am extremely thankful.

I will always remember her first album though and it will always be one of my favorites. On this day I will make sure to show it extra love each year because without it I wouldn't have music that helped me through over half my life. "When you think Tim McGraw Taylor Swift, I hope you think of me."

Happy 10th birthday Red!

Me to a normal human: Oh that's nice you sleep all night & are rested for work? I have Taylor Swift in my life. I wake up at odd hours in the night because I never know what she'll do. I don't have control of my sleep schedule that's why I have such dark circles under my eyes.

Now that I missed getting a signed copy of Midnights, Miss Swift has me setting an alarm every night for midnight. Some of us need sleep Taylor!!!

Taylor got me wanting to buy the vinyls so I can have a big clock. 2 problems though

1. Too expensive

2. I don't even own a record player

Okay but Taylor does her best work in the middle of the night. I don't think we have a clue what we're getting ourselves into, and I couldn't be more excited! Will this be pop? Alternative? Country? Something new? No one knows.

Do you just hand out wallet sized copies of your picture with her to everyone? I feel like I would. Like here you get a picture & you & you. Not to brag but to show that dreams come true & to keep dreaming & because I'd be so excited
