Rest in Peace Kim Jung Gi.
To see him draw in person was to witness the love of the craft come to life in front of you. It was infectious and inspiring. The art world still reels at his loss. Condolences.
Quick ink and wash doodle while in ktown earlier today.
The night bleeds at the edge with artificial light. We gather through maze and haze and noise and din.
Analogue doodles in a new sketchbook. Surprisingly durable paper that despite its thinness holds ink and water ok.

Where did you come from? Have you joined your mother yet?
The lake is artificial. It was “filled” in 1930, borrowing a name from Iroquois languages once proud for centuries. Now existing as awkward haircuts, corporate name lists, kitschy trinkets and exoticized film media. The meaning mostly lost.
The trees look as old as the land itself. Yet even they are saplings. Their forebearers sawed to stumps while their children were stripped for their hides. A second skin for a conqueror’s comfort.
Yet looking now, we can not tell. The water and the green and the sun on the sand; to this child of the city, they overflow the land.
Bonus: I drew @giannameola thanks for having us at your place bb! 😘😘😘
