OK, yes, “wrote our names on each other in permanent ink” is god-tier love letter writing ESPECIALLY to a man he knows is covered in tattoos. But… “Dear Ed, I long for you” as an opener?! Jesus, bro.

Also hits harder when it becomes clear that Ed thinks Stede has been killed and one of the last things Ed said to him was "fuck you."
