"That is far from proof, Gai. If you are indeed in a relationship, I would like to know whom with." The fact was… "Son, every generation previous has carried the Might tradition of growing a moustache. Even my mother! What a disgrace to your family name this is!" 

"Y-Your mother… my grandmother? Had… Had a moustache..?"

"I… I do not know what to say.. father.. am… am I really a disgrace? Do you hate m-me? … I knew it.. I knew things didn’t feel quite right.” Dramatic falling to knees. “I am a failure to the Maito name..! I don’t deserve to live!! Father! Please dispose of me! I am nothing but trash in your eyes!” 

Dai let out a hearty chuckle, ruffling his son's hair and leaning over to press a firm kiss to the crown of his hair.  "I was kidding, son. You truly are the of most honourable. You bring nothing but pride to our family name."

"Look father, I love you and all, but it doesn’t mean I want to look like you. I’m quite attractive as it is. Besides, I already have satisfactory bushy hair on my face.” Stops and wiggles eyebrows. 

"And do not worry about me being a virgin, father. I most certainly am not. Want proof? Check this out.”

"Actually, son. Your inability to grow facial hair makes you no where near as handsome as I."

"…. Father, please. I am trying to gain some respect here.” 

"Grow a moustache and maybe you'll actually get some, son."

"..." What a radiant beauty! With such grace, and charm.  Could this truly be the young Mikoto he knew? She had grown into a beautiful flower, indeed!

"A wonderful woman, with beauty beyond this galaxy! So young… but already married… I hadn’t seen her since she was a young girl, and now that she’s mature and understands the world though her experience, she shines above all others!" 

"Ah, now it makes more sense. I can see why you’re so worried." Going after a married person was not only imbecilic, but dangerous. However he couldn’t help but wonder who the other was talking about.

"I must be ill, if I am holding such feelings..."  It was the only plausible explanation. He was simply sick, and needed to get better. 

"You’ll need to try harder than that, son! I think the answer is some more hot blooded training! Now! Two-hundred laps around the village!" 

"T… Two hundred? Is that even possible? Aren’t you forgetting I’m still just a kid? … There’s no way I could do that, you expect too much from me, father.”

Dai frowned.  "You’re right. How could you possibly achieve anything if you don’t believe in yourself?! Strive forward, push yourself to your limit! That is the only way to move forward, Gai. Remember that!" 

"Unyouthful thoughts!" 

"Really?" He asked, his tone laced with disbelief while his stoic demeanor didn’t falter  "You’ve got to be kidding me."

"You have a cold. Have you been training in the rain?"

"...No." Dai spoke, looking away. He had always been terrible liar. 

"I’m… I’m sick…"

"You okay, old man? Might just be the heat gettin’ to ya."

"O...old man?"  That made him twitch, but he found it within himself to ignore it.  "I... I should be fine!" 

"I’m… I’m sick…"

"Oh? What are your symptoms?"
