Summary: Carlos was stuck inside the bank, bleeding out. TK was outside doing everything he could to get inside, but once inside would TK be able to help or just be forced to watch the man he loved slip away.

Summary: The 126 lose a member of their family on a call and TK struggles to deal with it.

Summary: There hadn't been many places that had made TK feel safe, made him feel at home. But Carlos's house had, wrapped up in bed with the man he loved TK had managed to find a home that made him feel loved and safe.

Now TK was staring at the charred and broken remains of that home and the man he loved was in a coma, doctors unsure if he would awake.

Summary: Coda to 911 Lone Star 2x03: after learning about the helicopter crash and the commander's refusals to send a rescue team, TK calls Carlos for support (essentially me sprinkling some tarlos h/c on this episode)

Stuck underground TK fights to stay awake and breathing, on the surface Carlos does everything he can to bring TK home.

Summary: After getting injured on a job TK patches himself up confident it is a minor injury and everything is fine. Hours later Carlos comes home to find a trail of blood throughout his house and TK is nowhere to be found.

Summary: The screeching of metal on metal fill the truck, the noise bouncing off every surface, burrowing into TK's ears and penetrating his mind.

The breath was ripped from his lungs, and nothing was left but emptiness and a deep aching spreading across his whole chest. The screeching halted; a resounding thud and crash cut through the air. The blurry scene before him turned to darkness.

Summary: This picks up right after 3.07 and looks at how TK and Carlos react to Gwen's death and how they both find some comfort in the other.

Summary: While waiting at the hospital for his dad to come out of surgery, TK receives some distressing news and must make a choice he's not sure he can make.

TK spends the rest of the evening believing Carlos is angry TK never told him about the proposal, but the truth is far more heartbreaking than TK could have imagined. Yet the small heartbreak and confusion makes TK realise something he should have long along, and maybe something he did know along.

He also needed to know more about the man that had managed to pull him back from the edge of a complete breakdown. For now, his name would be enough, and that TK knew; Carlos Reyes. With nothing to do but spiral, TK meets someone that makes moving to Austin seem more like fate than a punishment.
