While he usually carries himself with grace at every crook and turn, it all falls to shambles as he notices the familiar green and yellow jacket of Chie Satonaka. He can hardly ever string together a coherent sentence without a hint of a stutter and he’s always so damned red in the face (it’s embarrassing, especially when people always point it out to him).
And today – of course – isn’t an exception much to his chagrin.
“Ch-Chie-san,” he takes a brief pause to suck in a breath and smile almost sheepishly, crossing his arms across his chest in attempt to look more confident than he feels. “What are you doing? Uh… training again?” How cool.
Chie didn’t often need a reason to train, but it helped that the weather was the perfect excuse for it. With the temperature rising and the days dragging out, to her, outside by the floodplains was the only place to be!
Gently tapping her toes against the grassy surface, she properly secures a loose shoe before leaning over to sweep up a bottle of chilled water. The girl’s long lost track of time, and yet can’t quite bring herself to check-- Too caught up in the moment to turn in whilst the sun’s still going strong. And on the way back up, her gaze is abruptly met with that of a familiar somebody. Inaba’s very own basketball hero. Though there’s a brief hint of surprise there, it’s a quick recovery on her part. “Yo, Ichijou-kun! Hey!”
Without a second thought, Chie’s gone ahead and pressed the bottle to her own cheek, welcoming the cooling sensation it provides. “Mhm, you bet...! You know, I really can’t stand being cooped up indoors, sooo... I guess I’m actually here a lot. Eheh-” She admits.
“But, gosh, what a day, huh? I feel like I’m being slow cooked or somethin’. It’s good to see you, though! Meeting up with somebody?” Or... maybe that was a little on the nosy side. Whoops.
