ATHF Game on Playstation - Free for PSN Subscribers in August

Games in the Adult Swim Universe are few and far between these days. Adult Swim Games seemingly shuttered, with only a select few games left advertised on their website (I'm very attached to my iOS copy of Robot Unicorn Attack 2 and will never delete it - and hopefully will never have to). Of course, with the advent of games with editors baked in, you can essentially make your own world(s). That being said, the month of August on PlayStation Network subscribers can download the game Dreams for free. According to Wikipedia, "In Dreams, players control an "imp", which is used to interact with the game's world and interface like a mouse cursor, create new items and characters, and manipulate objects by grabbing and pulling them. Players can move the imp with one of two control schemes: moving and rotating the DualShock 4 or PlayStation Move controllers, or using the left and right analog sticks. The imp is customizable, and can possess characters featured in a dream, allowing players to take direct control of these characters." The game seems to be on par with Little Big Planet, wherein you can design your own characters and levels. I haven't personally had a PlayStation in about a year or so, but LBP was fun for the creative ways users would make worlds from different movies (loved the various Ghostbusters and Back to the Future ones). So you're probably asking why you would want to download Dreams? In particular? Among all the games in Dreams, you can download Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The (Very Unofficial) Game, designed by ATHF fan, Kirksplosion: https://youtu.be/VYPQqdgddDA?si=4VT4VeICSjdSphH2 As you can see by the trailer, the designs are awesome (honestly, puts Zombie Ninja Pro-Am to shame) and includes not only the Aqua Teens, but some of the monsters like Rabbot and Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future. You can download the Dreams game here (free this month for PSN users or $20 for non PSN) and Kirksplosions (Very Unofficial) game right here. Also, if you want to hear him chat about the work that went into it, listen to him chat with our dude Ronnie from Dancing is Forbidden. I'm definitely going to seek out this game once I'm able to afford a PS5 (or if it ever makes its way to the other consoles). You should too! Read the full article

Metalocalypse Back on max

Rewatching Metalocalypse before the movie’s release has just become a bit easier for fans. After being removed earlier this year from max (at the time HBOmax), the series has returned to streaming.

It comes as a surprise as Warner Brothers Discovery did not disclose it’s return in their August 2023 max press release. Likely a result of the misplaced outrage over last month's Venture Bros. confusion. The stealthy drop on max comes just ahead of the eagerly awaited release of Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, the last of three movies Adult Swim greenlit in May 2021 based on classic fan favorite IPs. Venture Bros. Shirt Club Returns!

Happy Venture Day! The (possibly?) final Venture Bros. story, Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart is out on digital today (BluRay coming this Tuesday)! With that being said, Jackson Publick had a bit of a tease last night... and the tease has arrived this morning: SHIRT CLUB RETURNS!

For those not familiar, the past number of seasons of Venture Bros. were accompanied by Shirt Club, which touted a number of awesome designs which related to each individual episode. You could purchase each shirt per week or buy into the entire Club and receive an additional, exclusive t-shirt. Back when I was a college kid (and didn't have to worry about little things like... rent...) I was able to get into Season Five's Shirt Club and even modeled a few of the shirts.

This version of Shirt Club boasts 4 new designs, plus the bonus movie logo shirt with the VB logo on the back AND a mystery sticker. Check out more details at the Titmouse shop.

GO TEAM SHIRT CLUB!

Few weeks ago, we shared the information from Canadian website YES (Your Entertainment Source) that Smiling Friends Season One was headed to DVD and BluRay. Today, a few sources pointed towards the website Screen-Connections (a site touting "The Latest Movie & News Reviews & Announcements...") seems like a predecessor to TVShowsOnDVD.com (we miss those guys), but nonetheless, it looks like they got what appears to be an official release directly from Warner Bros (typically AS sends them to our mailbox... they might be busy handling SDCC content and more).
