Watch for him. He’s going places.
This may have been the craziest assignment I’ve ever been given. I’m exceptionally proud of how it turned out.

TUF 20 Contestant: Tecia Torres
Tecia Torres (4-0) vs Felice Herrig (9-5)
With a little over 5 weeks to the start of TUF 20, I figured I start with the profiling thing I promised to do with each of the cast members.
Despite lack of pro experience, Tecia Torres is my favorite to win TUF 20 and become the first UFC women’s strawweight champion. A fantastic striker with the ability to fight going both forward and backward, she’s also the best pure athlete in the house. She carries a diverse kicking arsenal, she’s strong in the clinch, is able to cut angles beautifully, has solid wrestling skills, and she’s not afraid of going to the ground. But none of those are her best qualities in my opinion.
Her #1 quality is that she’s coach-able. She continues to improve between fights at an astonishing rate. Even in the cage, you can see how dearly she values the advice of her corner (Jessica Aguilar in this case). As her competition has grown stiffer, she’s been even more dominant. If the 24 year old ends up on Anthony Pettis’ team, I’m really excited at what he can help her accomplish.
If she doesn’t win the show, there’s no doubt in my mind she’ll win the title one day.
