the silence in you’re losing me is so powerful because taylor’s known for her amazing lyricism but when the chorus is just “stop…you’re losing me…stop…” etc the silence really makes you feel her anguish more than any filler words could

But also I feel like this is so fucking relatable when a man won’t just be the bad guy and break up with you but instead drags this shit out and forces you to be the bad guy and break it off even though you were the only one still trying.

I know the reaction to You’re Losing Me is overwhelmingly sad rn but I do think in a glass is half full way there are also positives. You’ll never find what you want in life and what fits you specifically without also learning what doesn’t work

at this point, there isn't anything new to be said about taylor/matty but it really is upsetting that after things blew up with the buzzfeed article, she doubled down and is still seeing him. it's even beyond hypocritical given the things she's said over the years and how quickly she's rightfully stood up for herself against sexist comments (ginny and georgia, damon albarn). the idea of being intimate with a racist, especially one that enjoys brutality, should be revolting but continuing to see them really says something about your character despite it not being what you believe in. i hate to assume the worst and nor I am wanting to doing that but is he worth it? is he worth her losing her morals?
