Idk if anyone remembers me but I'm so happy today. I'm married with an amazing spouse, we have three dogs and two cats. I'm a professional dog trainer/behavioralist in my city and Im not slowing down any time soon. We're buying a house in another year or so, and it's only up to go from here. We've done community organizing and nonprofit work, doing what we can to help those in need as well as build the future we want. Last summer, our city (Richmond, VA) made national news because of our demonstrations. It's crazy to think we were there through it all and are still working behind the scenes to continue to get our city where it needs to be. The gentrification out here and displacement of Richmond natives is horrific. Anyway. I'm just here to say it does get better. If you knew me when I was on tumblr heavy I was very depressed and very negative and didn't know if I would ever get out. Adopting my son Wally was my turning point. He found me, then a couple months later he literally approached my wife and sat in their lap randomly while I was at the river. From that point on my wife and I have been nearly inseparable- I think since we started sleeping together in bed every night/moved in together there have been 10 or less days in 3+ years that I've slept away from them. hello! i’m losing most of my left lung to a mystery infection and will be out of work for nearly three months which is bad and scary! i have a gofundme to try and help with bills so i do not survive this mystery infection and surgery only to die in a cardboard box in an alley!

my surgery is at 10am on 4/3/20 and i don’t have the mental energy to go into a lot of detail on here, i did as best i could on the gfm page under story. if you would like to help, please consider sharing and/or donating. thank you! 💖
