My favorite fight in Naruto has to be Konan and Obito’s hands down. Which is kind of sad because no one seems to remember or care for this fight.
The fight was short and sweet (if you don’t count all the flashbacks), and before the entire alliance ganged up against Obito, Konan was the only person who ever came close to beating him.
Why? Because she had a strategy.
It wasn’t something she’d come up with on the spot — it was crafted after weeks, months of careful planning, analyzing Obito’s abilities and coming up with ways to counter them. 600 billion exploding tags don’t just appear out of nowhere, you know.
And the fruits of her efforts? The only way Obito could even survive, let alone win, was by warping reality itself, because, logically, there was no conceivable way for the odds to be in his favor. Konan is nowhere near as strong as Obito — that’s an indisputable fact — but she had him at checkmate — and the only way Obito could get out of it was by cheating.
Say what you will about Konan not having a purpose outside Nagato and Yahiko — but her devotion to her friends was what made her do so well in this fight.
And that is why Konan will remain my absolute favorite female character in the entire series.
