— "... Neee," She responds by lightly knocking the top of his head, a little frown tugging at her expression now. "Don't hurt others, Boruto. Do you want Inojin's mother coming and getting mad at you? Play safe!"
"Me, Shikadai and Inojin were playing football, and things got a little messy, INOJIN TACKLED ME ‘TTEBASA, SO WE STARTED TACKLING EACHOTHER, IT WAS REALLY FUN YANNO!"
— "Is that so? I'll bet it was," she moves her hand to ruffle through his hair, smiling. "You didn't get hurt, or anything?"
’ BAHAHA! better than ever, what’s up? ‘
— His yelling almost startles her, but she manages to withhold it. At least, if anything, it meant he really was alright. "Nothing, really. I w-was just going on a walk."
’ Oh, hehe! Sorry Hinata, I kinda zoned out. ’
— "I... I see. Are you, um, alright?"

— Kneeling down, she'd offer her son a smile, hand extending to wipe a bit of dirt from his cheek.
"What have you been doing that's got you so dirty?…"

A familiar voice draws her attention, the Jounin stopping in her tracks and turning with a faint grin to greet the heiress. At the statement, there is a slight drop of the older woman’s gaze before she makes eye contact with her former student once more.
”I’m doing quite all right, Hinata-chan. I have been very busy with missions and such.”
A slight pause lingers between her next few words, gaze warm and respectful towards Hinata. Unspoken words for the girl were many, most of which being praise and lauding of her achievements, her growth. Perhaps it was time to treat her more as an equal and less of a student, despite what familiarity the two had already.
”My apologies for being rather absent. Would you mind joining me for tea? I’d like to know how you are doing as well.”
— The girl offers her sensei a smile, small and warm and pressed, as her hands fold over her front. To hear that she's been fine is wonderful, and she's glad to hear it; she was quite happy to be seeing her at all, really. No one had much time for anything else, lately.
"It's fine. Everyone gets b-busy, now and then… but yes, tea sounds wonderful... I'd love to join you."

— "… Um... Naruto-kun?"

Taken by surprise, the pink haired girl turned to see the Hyuuga standing behind her. Oh, gosh Hinata, you scared me. Those words ran through her mind. Smiling lightly at her friend she nodded to what she said. It seemed like sharing lunches had become a habit of theirs.
“ Sure but only if you agree to take some of mine this time. ”
— She comes to realize that she's scared the other girl in a moment's time and she feels rather bad, but the smile that graces her lips a moment later eases it. "Oh... well, if you're sure," she replies, hesitantly taking seat beside her. Hinata had the appetite of a bird, at times, which was why she often offered to share her meals with Sakura. But, she wasn't one to be impolite, either. "How're you today..?"
Stares at.
— Um, why... was he staring?"Do you n-need something, Naruto-kun?"
“Ino-pig would certainly have an idea! She’s always the one with the really great costumes so I guess she wouldn’t mind helping us out and even joining us, eventually.”
— "Well, we can ask her... I-I'd dress up if all of us were doing it." She'd really only wanted to hand out candy, but if Sakura was so adamant in it, then she didn't mind dressing up that much at all.
「火」- “I’m sure it was something special, Hinata-chan,” he encouraged again. Naruto didn’t know why Hinata was so modest—she was super strong.
At Hinata’s question, Naruto put a finger to his mouth, an unnecessary thinking pose. Granny Tsunade hadn’t sent Naruto out on missions for a while, since she didn’t want to give the Akatsuki more chances to grab him.
「火」- “I haven’t been on any missions for a while!”
— Her face only flushes, slightly, when he continues to compliment her. Still, she appreciates it, she really does. Fingers press against her lips to hide the way she was smiling, because she felt silly. "Oh, really? W-Well, there's nothing wrong with that. Have you, um.. done anything, then? Like, fun things..?"
“There’s lots of things we could be like—- umm… like… Well, I’m sure we can think of something together, ne? Maybe we could drag the other girls into this, too.”
— She listens intently to hear her suggestion, but only smiles in understanding when she can't quite think of anything. "I'm sure we could... I-It sounds like a lot of fun, dressing up with everyone. Um, maybe Ino would have an idea?"
